He mentioned it only briefly - the little girl saw him and even though he didn't show much emotion and didn't know anything, she loved him and brought him into her family. It gets me every time, because that's how kids are sometimes. She's ARMY. He turns back because she's his home and his family. He's so sweet 💜

Jin wrote this w Coldplay to comfort and as a temporary goodbye to BTSARMY - it’s a love letter to ARMY, symbolized by the little girl (there are so many Easter eggs in the video like Chris Martin’s guitar that he gave Jin, Coldplay posters, the words on the crossword puzzle, the purple bike helmet, and teaching her to ride a bike, which is symbolic of ARMY being OK while he’s away) - all of his recent solo activities are for his beloved fans, to give us beautiful, funny and lasting memories until we see him again in 2 years.

I love these boys they are how we should all be and don’t realize it ……these boys are true caring friends to each other….Yes you are right the girl represents Army…it’s like a love letter to Army….Jin goes into the military for 2 years so we won’t see him and the Coldplay concert was his chance to perform it live…Chris held tickets back so Army could buy and come support Jin at the concert…if you watch his speech and THEN the Jins performance it has a very different feel to it❤

Thank you for reacting to The Astronaut. Jin is about to report to the military either end of Nov. or beginning of Dec this year. He will be gone for 2 years. Basically putting his career on hold. The Astronaut is his farewell/till we meet again song not only for his fans but also for BTS members. Hence the “letting go” part with the kid on the MV. Jin sees himself as a meteor with no destination, a mere astronaut traveling the vast universe. He unexpectedly crashed landed on earth yet a “family” welcomed him and took care of him. In the end, when the opportunity arrived for him to leave, he decided to stay. Here is where his home is. Very fitting story and song to what he is about to experience in real life. 🥹 Jin was supposed to be the last of all the BTS members to release a solo album but he pushed for a solo single with the help of Coldplay to say thanks and see you soon to all his supporters. I guess, his sincerity and the story behind this song is the reason why The Astronaut is still breaking music records a month after its release. 💜

that is braille on his neck that spells ARMY. even the black squares in the crossword puzzle were braille that spell FOR ARMY. Jin is an alien that crashed here on earth. He met the girl and they became friends. He was supposed to leave but on his way to the spaceship, he had flashbacks of his memories with the girls. so he decided to stay. he then considered the earth as his HOME. But the real meaning is that the girl represents Army (or the members). Teaching the girl how to bike and letting her go is like Jin telling Army and the members that they will be okay when he leaves. And Jin returning to the girl is like Jin coming back after his military service. And that bell ring of the girl's bike at the end means army will be here waiting for him.
