I first went to Paris over 60 years ago, there were few tourists then, and no queues, no security, we had Versailles, the Louvre, etc., almost to ourselves! Congratulations for taking us to fascinating places which are busy, but not overwhelmingly so. What a lovely day out, thank you! 🌻

I've just watched your whole series and it truly inspires me to put together my own itinerary for my visit to Paris at the beginning of march! ❤ So I have a question which I'm sure you are able to answer: I've just booked my hotel and I could have breakfast there, but it costs 12€ and I'm not sure if that's the best value. However, as it is still winter/ very early spring, I'm not sure if going to a bakery is a good idea as sitting outside in a park to eat probably is too cold. So where would you recommend having a good and affordable breakfast during the winter months? Thank you so much again and best greetings from Germany! ❤ Theresa

Perhaps stop by Shakespeare & Co as long as you're at Notre Dame. The danger is you could end up spending 2-3 hours there.

Love your series! It's great getting the perspective of someone who lives in Paris and knows about all the hidden gems and wonderful alternatives to the touristy areas. Just one suggestion: It would be so nice and helpful if you can add captions when you mention (French) names of local places. You are fluent in French, but I assume most of your viewers are not. Merci pour cette petite balade. Tu m’as fait découvrir beaucoup d’endroits que je ne connaissais pas à Paris. J’ai hâte de voir la suite de la balade, s’il y’en a une. Par ailleurs, je n’avais jamais entendu cette prononciation de «La Villette » (que tu prononces « La Viyette » ). Pour ma part, j’ai toujours entendu « La Vilette ». Mais je trouve ta prononciation plus charmante. ;)

This itinerary sounds like just what I would love to do in Paris. Since we have never been there, of course I’d like to see the usual sites but I want to go away from the tourist areas to stay and enjoy non-tourist areas of Paris. We loved the Veleb when we were there in 2013. The next time we tried, in 2019, it was terrible!! We couldn't get the bikes to unlock.
