What does it take to turn a dock baby into an ocean cruiser? In this episode I continue to upgrade "La Dolce Vita" in preparation for sailing to every country in the world. And no, the boat in the thumbnail is not La Dolce Vita.

The number one thing I can say that most overlook is the fuel tank. The bottom of the tank will usually have things growing on it. As pieces die off, they detach and stay on the bottom until at sea where the motion of the boat brings them up where they can easily clog fuel lines. Fuel polishing doesn't clean that out and fuel treatments will not dissolve them. It has to be manually cleaned and then any fuel put in needs treatment to help prevent future growth.
