Thank God everyone survived! Getting a phone call about loved ones being in an accident is terrifying because you just don’t know what to expect. The shock and numbness kicks in and nothing else matters. It sounds like Gentry has a long recovery with lots of physio ahead of him...thankfully God graced him with a sense of humour and determination...he’ll have a tough go but he’ll fight his way through it. The trauma is going to be with Betsey, Boston, and Brock for awhile, but their faith and family strength will get them through the hard days. God bless you, and allow you to get some refreshing sleep.

I’m sorry to hear your brothers are having nightmares. I had a bad trauma a couple years ago and had nightmares every week for a year. I went to trauma therapy and did cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure therapy, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy to help with my trauma. I highly recommend seeing a trauma therapist if your mom or brothers constantly feel unsafe or scared or continue to have bad nightmares. My trauma therapist helped me so much.
