Mr. Kiyosaki, because of you I was able to "retire" and get out of the rat race by 27 years old. And here you are a decade later still dropping knowledge. Having undergraduate degrees in engineering and business, along with an MBA, I was somewhat set in terms of a career. But it was a miserable existence even though I was paid well. I then set out down the lonely road of escaping the "grind." I now live mortgage free, surf, travel the world and spend my days coaching and building new things, yet my friends and peers look at me as the odd duckling. It's a strange, yet beautiful life. The thing I love most is I can't remember the last time I had to wake up using an alarm other than catching an early flight to Costa Rica or something. Very insightful video. I've read all Mr. Kiyosaki's book. I've implemented some of the strategies from his teachings and even to the point where I was involved in every cashflow quadrant and I do agree that relying on a job alone is not going to help you financially. However, being employed while learning the other quadrants at the same time gave me a deeper insight in how the cashflow quadrant worked for me. I went back to university at a mature age and took the valuable knowledge I gained from Mr. Kiyosaki and took it to the next level. I learnt about debt management, debt financing and equity financing. I also learnt about the principles of finance, financial ratios, and accounting for business decision making, something that you will never learn from Mr. Kiyosaki's books and seminars. Knowledge is power and that indeed is true. Thankyou for the books and wealth wisdom Mr. Kiyosaki.

Let's make it simple: we are alive so we need resources, resources cost money, unless you live in Alaska and get everything from nature. To get resources and services you need money; because other people spent time and resources to make a service or collect and process resources. To get money you need a job; that's all. You go to school to learn things that make you more useful for a company, which in return, pay you more money. You can avoid to go to school and learn on your own; although for certain jobs (doctors, lawyers and few others), you will have hard time finding a job without a degree. So the tL:DR is that the educational system exist to give people the chance to learn and prove that they learned. It does not teach you how to make money; that is up to you.

There's a saying: Go into business yourself and you can choose to work whatever 18 hrs. a day you want to work. Now, I get the essence of Kiyosaki is saying but the route he is taking is for certain types of people...mainly type A personalities. Not everybody is like that. Not everyone can handle the ups and downs of a real estate investor type of a career, plus the fact that you are on call 24/7 rather than working a 40 hr. work week and can compartmentalize your life rather than make work your life. I know a few people doing something like what Kiyosaki does and their cell phones are on 24 hrs. a day and they have to be able to shift to crisis mode in an instant. Not everybody can be mentally tough enough and ruthless to deal with bad renters, bad employees, the pressure of crucial business decisions and the ups and downs of investment type income. Many people just want to clock in their 40 hrs. a week and use the rest of their time to destress and do what they want. There's really nothing wrong with putting in your time and retiring with a reasonable retirement rather than working until you die. From what I've seen, Kryosaki type people basically are workaholics who keep pushing until they expire, which is fine if that's what you want to do but not choosing to be the richest man in the cemetery does not make you a loser. Sure it's great to be rich but it's not necessary for true happiness.

It was the same where I grew up. There was a part of our income going to our own pension paycheck, and a part of it - to the government. When I was getting my degree, they pushed a law that took everything from a working person's pension to the government budget. So decades later we all, middle, poor, smart, stupid, criminal, law abiding, etc - we all would get the same pennies called pension. I knew that this was BS, there's no point investing more of my own money to my pension since they already took a part of it. I knew I could never live on my pension. I grew up very poor, Literally Dirt Poor.. my shoes would always have mud on them.. I had to wear my mud shoes out to drive my car, and change into nice shoes every time I went to a meeting, or an event. I will say that my personal experience kinda confirms what hes saying. I did well as a financial analyst for close to a decade from my early 20s to around 30. And I hated every second of it... not the job part, but listening to idiots and company bureaucracy, company politics... those things are the worst. Meetings with C-suite execs never accomplished anything. Old and out of touch execs push agendas and ideas that are simply not viable in today's globally competitive marketplace for products. And good ideas from brilliant employees tend to get squashed down, eschewed in favor of ideas from those who play the corporate game of thrones and spend their time positioning themselves politically to and socially to their advantage. Far too often, advancement in one's career hinged on being the kind of person that I fundamentally just could not even make myself try to be, and ingenuity and innovation in employees resulted in no career progress. Hated that shit. Got out in my early 30s and do stock trading full-time now, and I couldn't be happier. I'm doing as well as I did before, with a whole lot more upward mobility depending on my own competence and effort, not on the judgements of old execs above me. I can decide to take a 2 week getaway to some beach in Europe, and I can take my work with me to the beach and get everything done at my leisure on my schedule. I didn’t got to a university or college. I went to CDL school and got my class A Driving license, and I get paid well. All I paid for school was 6000$, I make that every month. The "hiring" market is complete bullshit. Where I live, every place is hiring but they aren't. I remember going to one place that said a "$3,000 sign-on bonus" was included and a $25 per hour salary. It was in a factory that manufactured glass doors and windows and it was dangerous when they gave me a tour, like super dangerous. Then they took me to the office and asked if $15 was a good final salary choice. And they said no health benefits would be included and it would come out of our paycheck if we used the plan they offered. Never went back. Another job was with a textile factory. Lady was rude and said they needed someone of experience to join the team. They didn't hire me. She greeted me with "Why do you need this job?" Another one, I sent three applications and an in-person interview, only for them to say "We won't be hiring you. You don't meet the criteria we've been looking for". Stuff like this motivates me to make my own choices and make money in my own way. If only I can do it and convince my family. And find the confidence in myself. I just cannot see myself slaving away in a factory or retail or restaurant position for my life. I'd rather work my job goal where I can say "I love this job. It's hard some days, but overall, I'm excited because I can be myself and not be someone who is only doing this for money like so many people HAVE to do with other places".

You will be tax big time when you run a small business. Now buy assets using debt to avoid taxes. But banks will not lend you big money if you dnt have big assets or collateral. Pension doesn't really have much value anyway. If you live to retirement, you still have to scrape by. But the POWERFUL don't work for money, they work for CONTROL which they never give up, and I encourage all of you to never give up control. Anytime somebody wants you to sin a contract or give up personal information, or agree to let them do something, or give up a percent of your ownership, you are giving up control. Don't do that. I have zero debt and as a result I have almost no stress. I make no house payment or car payment, at least not to a bank. I still pay, just to myself. And I don't buy on credit because that makes a person a slave to a credit score or a bank. If I can't pay for it, I don't buy it. You should constantly work to get control of all aspects of your life back into your hands.

Everything he has thought there I learned in University. The only thing is that most students are so focused on getting a job and applying the knowledge they just acquired in someone else's business instead of really thinking about how to apply all this knowledge to their own life. Secondly, you need CAPITAL and quite often if you don't have it from your parents, you NEED to work to ever get any Capital. Lastly, phrases like "let your assets work for you" are completely wrong, your assets don't "work" for you or make you money, your employees are the ones doing that for you using your assets. It's okay to be an employee, just think of yourself as a business of one and know your value. Also make sure you unionize so you can exert enough political pressure so the rules can be designed for you instead of always for the rich as he himself recognizes.

You guest it right, the company's employees perform value adding activities using the capital you invested in it by buying stocks. Every business requires at least one employee, so even if you invest in real estate, you still have to manage, the assets, the tenancy, etc. Either you do it yourself in which case you are the one working for yourself and growing your own wealth or you hire someone else to use your assets OR capital to grow it. Other market investments such as debt instruments are not really "working for you" as you are simply a lender and you receive compensation in the form of interest (coupon payments)

How do i know if this is real or not? Because so far whenever i mention anything about this way of thinking to my friends my family or any stranger, they deny it or they diss it. I feel like shit when this happens because i'm lacking in experience and knowledge is what i think. But all i've done is listen to these videos and to me this seems pretty simple to do actually. One day i know i will die, i saw my mother die infront of my own eyes i saw her corpse............ I realized then, my fear of failing or fear itself is my light to illuminate my ignorance with knowledge. I'm gonna die some day anyway right, so why not try this formula you're suggesting? If it works i'll be set financially for life, if not i'll be back where i was or lose my life. Seems pretty straightforward to me. I'm not religious or anything but if i die i think i can atleast see my mom again. And so dying doesn't seem as scary as it usually is. I mean ofc noone wants to die but you know, this is the real world and you can't fake it until you make it. Because reality is either you make it, or you suffer and eventually die. If i had a choice ofc i would choose to live forever, but you must be realistic about this. Human life at this time isn't forever. He got into commodities with a good job during a time when the cost of living was more commensurate with income. He had two diametrically opposite role models. He now depends on land, labor and capital to make money, he has income from commodities and real estate, and he depends on the losers to keep going. He doesn't worry about anyone being too offended, as not everyone will take his advice. If everyone did, the economy would be all entrepreneurs and no skilled laborers or tenants. His employee has parents who teach her about real estate, so she's not working from scratch. And she doesn't seem to come across as anything other than obsequious. Depressing video, but at this time in economic history, accurate. He doesn't do much other than shift money around, though, it seems. If he diversified his perspective instead of his portfolio maybe he'd be a little less arrogant. Money isn't enough--empathy would be good, too.

John Foster I’m a high school drop out. School seemed so full of shit for me. All I saw were people pretending to know stuff to not seems dumb. They say I know or yes to everything. But reality they have no clue. School weeds out people incapable of being sheep. Schools only award people that gets good grades and conforms to the system. I like financials. The money game. Non of what I know was ever taught in school. I like buying business with my money. I don’t buy new cars. I buy used cars that I don’t lose much money on. I love buying property. I loved being a sales person and I love making my money work for me instead of working for money. Ok so a theoretical situation (my life situation). I get payed arround 900€ a month, and I would like to invest money. Taxes for crypto are arround 34% and I was thinking about buing real estate. But I dont own a property, so I need to pay for a property for me first (so I can go to a job) and bank would not let me get credit (Im not sure if word is right) so I could buy a property for my own. Cost of property where I live is sky rocketing to arround 250 000€ for 2 room apartment (because only for that 250k€ I would need to pay 694€ a month for 30 years and with my paycheck, they will not let me get that). There’s a reason some are rich and most aren’t. The financial world is almost like a success filter. Those with certain qualities can continue to move forward. While other get stuck at some point. These qualities are obtainable by everyone, but the majority will not change/adapt. Some people will not have intense motivation, perseverance, focus, or desire to learn. Therefore they will be stuck at a certain point in the filtration system of success. It takes patience and consistent action.

Lets scale this idea up: Lets say that everyone will go and aim for this idea of not paying taxes. Lets say everyone achieves that and everyone is in debt to eachother and no one pays taxes. How will the country be run without taxation? Lets say everyone starts a business. They would have to be a business-to-business thing because everyone would have a business, it'd be the greatest customer base. Sure private people need stuff too, but then you'd pay taxes for your commodities. This idea is sound, but not for the greater many people, only for the few lucky ones achieving this. Also a negative sideeffect of being in debt all the time is the interrest you'd need to pay to the bankers. In the end all debt leads to the banking system. It would spiral out of control leading up to another financial crisis. Again, if everyone tries to go for this idea and the majority achieves is.

I think the slight of hand here is interpreting "the rich dont work for money" to mean "the rich dont work." You need to work and you need money. You just need to work in pursuit of a different goal than money, or understand, while youre working your 9 to 5 or whatever, that it's ONE component of wealth, but not the way to wealth. Working a 9 to 5 and expecting to get rich is like going to a supermarket and expecting the ingredients to be the meal. You need to go to the supermarket for the food, but you also need to make the meal. I think the analogy is a lot of people who work a 9 to 5 treat it like buying a premade meal at the supermarket, when buying ingredients and preparing them can make you a lot more food for cheaper. You still have to shop at the supermarket. You still need a job.
