The way to cast fireballs with the staff is simple , although I admit it took me a while to find this, when you move the staff (doesn’t need to be a big swing) press the button that allows you to switch your magic and fire balls will come out.

Some of the ways you can kill warriors in this game are brutal! I kicked a guy just right and he flew into a wall of spikes 🤣 Even got a lucky throw with a shield and whipped it so hard frisbee style it clotheslined and took a dude off his feet

If you're playing on oculus then you can cast fireballs with a staff by pressing the A or B button but you have to be moving to be able to cast.
