Getting A Lift - with Kenny

Kenny's road to recovery from alcoholism has been far from plain sailing. Life was fabulous on the outside before his last relapse, which lasted 4 years. In reality, life was very dark on the inside. Kenny is now nearly 3 years sober, which he firmly puts down to the 12 step programme. As he again embraced the programme of becoming sober, cold water exposure became part of his journey. Kenny researched the benefits of cold water immersion and so the Polar Bear Club was born. Kenny is known as "Head Ned" at the Polar Bear Club. He dedicates himself to spreading awareness of the benefits of cold water immersion, while living his life through the 12 principles of Alcoholics Anonymous. A powerful and moving story.
