So glad you're doing lots better, I was just diagnosed a few weeks ago with Lupus SLE. I have all the classic symptoms for Lupus but can't see the Rheumatologist until September, so I'm not on any medication. In the meantime I'm feeling miserable and trying to take it one day at a time.

I'm really sorry you have to wait so long. I highly recommend calling to see if there are any cancellations sooner. You may be able to get in! Please check out the other videos on my channel, the earlier we implement these lifestyle changes the better. Even if you're not on meds yet, there are other things you can do to help support your body while its struggling right now. Sending you so much love and healing! 💖

@@healwithlaurennicole Yes, I’m on their cancelation list, hopefully they’ll call soon. In the meantime, I’m taking your advice and just looking for ways to feel better without the medication that I should be on. Trying to avoid stress, resting more, eating healthier, removing anything toxic from my surroundings, including people. Thanks again and continue to feel better!

@@NickiPerri i LOVE all of this for you! You're doing amazing! I have no doubts that you will feel better through these things, and in combination with whatever meds you end up needing, it sounds like you're on the right path, off to a good start already! 🥰

Hi...I love your videos..... How long did you suffer with the symptoms before your reports came back positive for lupus?
@healwithlaurennicole5 ай бұрын
Symptoms would come and go for about 5 years before my diagnosis, but symptoms started to become more constant and more debilitating, and the list of symptoms I had was getting longer and longer each day for about 2 years before my diagnosis. But i didnt get lupus SPECIFIC symptoms (the ones listed in the diagnostic criteria) until about the 6 months leading up to my diagnosis.

@healwithlaurennicole thank you for sharing this. It's helped me feel less crazy. I'm so not well but I haven't fit criteria for anything. So now I bounce from specialist to specialist with them all telling me that they don't know what's going on.

@@SabrinaDawn444 I'm so sorry, hang in there! That was what I went through for the previous year before I was finally diagnosed. I saw like 15 different doctors and specialists in 2018 and it was actually the gastroenterologist who suggested an autoimmune disease but she ruled out Crohns and UC. I had already been thinking I might have lupus so when she said autoimmune, i did more research and I went back to my PCP and asked to be tested. Thats when he ran an anti-dsDNA test and it came back positive so he sent me to a rheumatologist. I highly recommend asking your primary for a lupus autoantibody panel and highlighting any symptoms you have that are typical of lupus to convince them to test you. Lupus can cause like 100+ random symptoms so they don't listen to us if we start listing all the random weird ones we get, they only listen if we focus on the lupus specific ones. Good luck to you! Hang in there!

Do you still take plaquinal?

Yes I do. It definitely helps with my joint pain mostly. If I miss a few doses, I have some joint pain come back.
