Yes. My dad’s Mach 1 was set up with same stance. It looked great too. I don’t think it helped the handling much though.

Part 2 continued. trooper was k*lled). Both the commissioner and the chief were real superstitious, and they believed if a trooper was k*lled on duty, that anything belonging to him in his line of duty (car, gun, etc) should be destroyed (other than his clothing, boots, etc, if the family wanted them) but that a car, gun, etc, should not go to another trooper as they believed it was a bad omen and that the same could happen to the next trooper taking possession of them (I knew both guys all my life until they passed, the DPS commissioner and chief, and they were very serious about this and extremely superstitious). So they were going to have the car destroyed (they had already had an agreement done with the state house/Capitol that would ok them to do this/that that was what would be done with cruisers/patrol cars, etc, of any trooper k*lled in the line of duty). Well dad being a huge Mopar fan and top notch mechanic with anything Mopar, when he learned this from W.E. and the commissioner (that it was going to be destroyed), and knowing it was brand new and what engine was in it, said to them that's just wrong, there has to be a way to stop that and that maybe a citizen can have it if it shouldn't go to another trooper based on you guys beliefs/superstition believing/thinking it's a bad omen and that something bad will happen to the next trooper (convinced them it was a waste to do so and that a civilian should take it that was not a trooper to avoid anything bad happening). They told dad, he was right. And said ''well, we can't just give it to you, that would be a crime on our part if we was to do that''. And the commissioner and chief made it through a legal deal through the state where he ''dad'' bought it for one dollar. Dad kept it in his possession until his d*ath in 97 at age 86, at which point it went to me his only child. When Bill (the trooper) was k*lled, the car only had 1,124 miles on it once it was taken back to an OHP maintenance garage after Bill was k*lled, which was where it set until dad purchased it. After dad was able to acquire it and drive it home, it had 1,132 miles on it after the drive home. Of course all lights, decals, radio, etc, was removed. He got all of the original paperwork with it from the factory, and from the highway patrol, and what/whose unit it was, everything. Now in my possession. Dad never drove it as a regular car. He kept it garaged, under a cover, would start it and drive it 3 miles around the neighborhood once every 3 months. It now has 1,768 original miles on it and looks and sounds showroom new. Of course through the years he would change the oil and oil filter every year mid year, and late December every year. Transmission fluid every 3 years, coolant every 2. Rear end fluid every 5 years, total brake line and master cylinder flush with new brake fluid every 3 years. Fuel has been siphoned out and replaced with new every 6 months (just enough was always kept in it for the every 3 months start and drive, what was not used was sucked out and replaced with new every 8 months, and fuel stabilizers was always kept in the tank/fuel to keep it from degrading). I continued doing the same for everything after dad passed at the same intervals for everything. Other than that, everything is original, even the spark plugs and plug wires, same alternator, belts, hoses, fuel pump, everything. Of course we have had to change batteries through the years and tires, but we kept the original battery and original tires ''had the tires vacuum sealed in thick plastic which are in a closed wooden box''. The original battery is stored in a battery case that is in a closed wooden box. Well here's the thing about this car other than everything I've told you. It is a 440 six pack ''yes it is a six pack and that is what it came with from the factory for the car/in the car from the factory, matching numbers on everything, no engine swap was ever done, it's the original engine and transmission in the car when it left the factory and is on all of the original paperwork''. Now, this is extremely weird to me (it having a from the factory brand new 440 six pack that was in the car from the factory when it left the factory, what it came with) what is weird to me when I look 1970 Plymouth Fury up with 440 six pack, it only shows/says the two door sport gt had them (maybe it just shows civilian, but not what was available to highway patrol) or maybe the Oklahoma highway patrol for that year ordered them that way/insisted those be the engines that were put in them when they ordered the fleet and that's why it doesn't show/why I can't find anything about them. Do you happen to know if any 440 six packs were put in any regular non sport gt fury's/civilian fury's other than highway patrol cars? I will tell you one thing, after this car was passed onto me, I did pull 2 spark plugs out from 2 different cylinders, one on each side of the engine (I wanted to look at the top of the pistons) and not only were they clean and shiny just like the cylinder walls, but the top of the pistons had the valve release in them (kind of looks like alien eyes machined into the top of the pistons). Anyway, here is my true question. I know I won't live forever, I'm already 80 and I'm sure I probably don't have a whole lot of time left. I have one son who is absolutely worthless and lazy and knows nothing about vehicles. I don't want it going to him because he would take this masterpiece that has been kept show room new since 1971 and destroy it in a matter of no time at all, or sell it for money ''probably to someone like him who would probably do the same to it'' and both thoughts sicken me. I have a daughter who is as different as night and day as my son, a doctor, never married, no kids, who knows nothing about vehicles. I've thought of giving it to her, but she wouldn't be able to do the trusted upkeep on it, and in the long run what would she might decide to do with it? My wife passed 4 years ago. No other family that would be suitable for it. So my decision is to sell it myself to someone I know who would do the upkeep on her and treat her like a queen like my dad and I have all these years, take care of her, not let her go or let her go to someone who will trash it and destroy it. I want to sell it to someone like that and that's what I'm looking for right now (someone like that). And I want to give the money to my daughter. What do you think a pristine car like this with the engine it has and such low brand new miles (I've often wondered if I have the lowest miles on one of these all original all matching numbers engines in the world and in literal pristine shape), what do you think it's worth? Any help concerning this matter would be appreciated. Thank you.
THIS IS HOW TO SAVE A FREEZE CRACKED NUMBERS MATCHING ENGINE.
