Martin Johnson announced the meet up in a livestream video recently, 10 or so Idaho KZbinrs will be there, I'd love to meet you in person! I'm not a content creator yet, but my husband and I have an offer on 20 acres near Athol. I'll be documenting the development of the property into a homestead.

Great video! Congratulations on four years and on rebuilding your homestead dream. I love the new little ram,he is adorable. I am not sure if I mentioned this on the last vlog but the dogs seem so much happier especially Blue! Having livestock has brought spark back into his eyes. Maybe you need to consider keeping Lopsy(as Tess mentioned when you picked her up) and getting her another ewe companion. The dogs will most likely be sad if everyone “leaves” again.😉 I have to say it again and every time, I just love when Tess is on the vlog. She knows her sheep and she loves them. That is important to me.

Thank you Bettina! I have considered doing that with the sheep but I decided I don't want to overwinter them this year. I will have my chickens, obviously, but I don't want to have to store a bunch of hay over the winter etc. this year

The Grass-fed Homestead yes I have to agree storing hay and overwintering animals is best with a bit more infrastructure. Otherwise it is stressful and tedious.

So for us nothing has really changed, we do all our weekly shopping on line, and have it delivered so there is no need to go out for anything. Like I said I’d love to hear how the hair/wool crosses are going. She’s not the only one interested in a hair sheep that produces a good amount of milk! I’ll be crossing an awassi ram with some katahdin ewes in the near future to see how their daughters milk.
