Since I watch everything you post, there were no surprises here..haha....but you are responsible for many of my art supply purchases. That Kakimori brass nib currently is on my high priority list. Oddly enough, as much as I watch your channel, very little of my own art is abstract. That being said, I am recovering from a shoulder replacement, and for the first 2 weeks after surgery, abstract was all I did. I took a watercolor sketchbook and pre-painted it with my alcohol inks prior to surgery and then just concentrated on mark making. It was a lifesaver! I can't let a day go by without some sort of creating otherwise I might experience spontaneous combustion or something. I appreciate your channel so much. Although my art supply budget is often maxed out thanks to you (🤣) I love all my supplies that you have recommended. Not a wasted supply in the bunch!

Denise, you can always turn your artwork over and jot down cube 1 or 2 and the card number so you have something to return to if you decide to recreate using the same colors. You can also jot down the paint colors, etc. Thanks for another great video. I will use your links for a few items I have wanted.

I used to do that... but now since I film it all - I can look back at the video - which I really love since I look back at pieces and totally forgot how I created them! I used to keep a palette book - which I show early on in the videos on here... that was fantastic for keeping palettes I liked with the paints and a piece of the art. Thank you! 🥰

There are so many wonderful things on this list. I’ve loved that nib since the day I first saw it. I just may finally have to get it and the gold ink. Oh, and the swatch books are very nice. Another thing, I was printing palettes off of Pinterest, and the cost for me to print my own on card stock was more expensive with ink and card stock in the long run than just buying the color cubes.

Wow! The color cubes look fabulous. While i think I am really good with color. I find my choices seem to be stagnant at times & when I decide to choose a different route I struggle to stay with the the original plan. I need encouragement to stay outside my comfort zone. Hi Denise, I love all your choices and that you explain how you use them in your creative process. If you shop at St.Louis Art Store they do mystery art bags for $10 dollars. I got one a few months back and mine was full of stationary type and they did give me 3 nice looking nibs, one did not fit. I love your abstract work, I do it too its very much art therapy. O I see you use the Posca pens. Have you ever tried the acrylic markers from Amsterdam? They are so nice, and I like them so much more than the Posca, especially because of their color palette.

@@susanorban3059 It's pretty cool, but just be really careful not to use too much. That's always my mistake. It looks like there isn't any on the paper, but then POW and it explodes just after you've added too much.

I tried to order the color cube set off Sarah's site. It wouldn't take my credit card. She may be missing a lot of orders. I went to Amazon and ordered another card set you recommended in another video. An intuitive set. I really wanted Sarah's cubes though.

How strange about the website not accepting the card……and I can imagine definitely frustrating ! 😳🧐 Maybe send her an email to find out what the problem is ? I am sure her team will explain. I live in the U.K. and pre-ordered them many weeks before they actually became available, because Sarah Renae wanted some idea of how many to manufacture for the first run. At first I wondered if it was a marketing ploy to get you all geed up and excited, but she is such a genuine person, I did actually believe that was true. I think the prices at that time varied depending on which country you lived because of import duties, tax and postage, etc. etc. They certainly were not what I would call ‘cheap ‘ at least not here in the U.K……from memory, including postage, they were about £70….which is approx $80 plus !!! But I am certainly not complaining, because I knew I was going to buy them from the very second she told us about the idea and I am delighted with them. All the best to you. 🤗

Denise, I just bought that number 6 blender brush and it arrived today……it really looked just perfect when you were using it a few days ago.
