My favorite thing about the DarkRP is the realism, how true-to-life the RP situations can get. When I was in at a bar a few years ago, hit a guy in the face. He started complaining into the ether and in about 30 seconds a flying wizard phased through the wall and dragged me with his laser beam to a room in the sky, where he demanded I explain myself. Boot up Gmod for the first time in a while the other day, same things happens. Still can't believe it.

@@Palexite If you find a server with chill dudes who play it serious and casual, you can have a lot of fun. My best few months were in a Warhammer server where I was a very lucky Guardsman who ended up being thrown into a medical role (no medicae were on the server at the time so I was 'volunteered' for it) and ever since I became a medic I proceeded to just do medical malpractice from then on. The OOC events, when the server is in downtime can be absolutely amazing if you have the right people on, the server had a Psyker death battle that lasted for about an hour and a half with the Guard watching and placing charitable donations (gambling is illegal). There also was a PAC God on that server who made entirely custom built and flyable ServoSkulls.

I've only ever had fun on 1 gmod rp server. It was a star wars rp, and it was great cause they actually roleplayed. I escaped the training thing, found a gun and killed a few people. They actually had the whole server on a manhunt looking for me. Didn't call an admin to admin sit me. The people chasing me also had fun doing it too. Like how is standing around doing nothing for these people fun, let people rdm or rob people, and then actually play the game to stop them, no admin calling. I don't get the point of all these police or guard roles, when any crime is a ban or a 20 minute timeout
