after you get the first mk1 to the prawn suit you should always use the drill arm,the second arm is your choice but i like to go with the grapple,also for the scanner room there are alot of mini volcanos so just build it near one and connect it to a thermal plant,hope this helps.

I suggest making a base in the lost river as a check point between the surface and the deeper areas because your vehicles will likely need recharging and you inventory will need emptying

"why is this game so scary when it's not even trying" Fun fact: this game never really wanted to be scary, but it's themes feeding into very deeply rooted fears of us humans and the reception during early access lead it to be. Also what makes Subnautica special is that it works with a lot of Terror instead of Horror. Terror is the suggestion of danger, no matter if it actually exists or not. While horror is much more direct danger/scary stuff, basically jumpscares and such. All in all there isn't much that can really harm you in Subnautica, but the sound design, visual design and setting make it seem like there just HAS to be something super dangerous behind every corner.

The Lost River is actually brine, which is hyper-concentrated salt water. You were probably dying because the extreme salt was absorbing all your water.

Try using grappling hook+drill, I think it's most efficient combo of arms (you can still drill angry fish instead of punching them)

i like you videos tips 1go to the lava zone below the lost river to find kyanite and for kyanite you need prown suit drill arm 2the crabsquid beam therns off evry item thats uze batery and vehicle for 5 seconds I hope it helps🙂😊
