Watching this episode today on my laptop. A few hours ago, my phone fell into the water at the beach. It was the perfect setting to scream and ask why!? But I've grown so much spiritually that before I could get mad and be miserable, I asked God what can I learn from this? Where can I see You in this? And I felt convicted because I realized my phone/social media was an idol. The material isn't as important as time with my Father. And this is just reinforcing that lesson and what I need to pray about. :) Appreciate you Courtney x

not me listening to this and realizing i need to deal with stubbornness TOO amongst other idols 🫠 with your example about the sweets, i had a very similar situation with my mom last weekend. Jesus. this was so sobering. definitely going to sit with everything you’ve shared with this episode. that final message, do not worry, was such a beautiful conclusion. because you’re so right, we build idols consciously or unconsciously out of fear. fear is simply put: a lack of trust in God and His ability to take care of us. we end up “taking care of ourselves” with the idols we set up in our hearts. whew man… SO thankful for this platform 🫶🏿✨

To remove anything in my life that stops me from experiencing the fullness of His glory and all that He has called me to be. I realize that as I was praying that I was making excuses for the things that He would bring to the forefront of my mind (the things He has been convicting me of).
