The area of Nkayi, KoSivalo is located 238km from the City of Bulawayo, 66km from Lupane, and 106km from Gokwe. This area was allocated to Chief Sivalo Mahlangu who was an influential man under King Lobhengula’s capital and later became a strong ally of Queen Lozikeyi. In this documentary, Prince Sivalo Mahlangu takes us to his rural area home to learn more about the history of his great great grandfather, the cultural and economic significance of the Tshangani River, the role played by ‘Isigodokhaya’ towards the farming season and important life lessons from the elders in the community.

~ About Magriza Made Me Cook:
» Magriza is slang for uGogo (Grandmother in isiNdebele) and the name of the show is derived from Prince's inspiration for falling in love with cooking; his grandmother. The goal of MMMC is to document and serve Africa's diverse food culture, one dish at a time. We believe that Africa has got unique meals that ought to be talked about, and most importantly, cooked consistently. We believe in the values of Ubuntu, Respect, Creativity and Minimalism.

Hello Prince. Sawubona. I enjoyed your video. Thank you. I visited a community in Tsholotso in 2011 and had a wonderful welcome because I was a sponsor through a charity. Singing and dancing by children and adults. The ladies who make things in Zim are very skilled. I still have my presents. They gave me mats and baskets and others gave me wooden cutlery and a wooden elephant. I am a lucky woman.😊🧡🐘
