My parents dog use to do this when he wanted to go out, get attention or was hungry. Cinnabon is so gentle in his approach to waking up Lex. He then lays down again himself.

Hehehehehe! I don't need to set my alarm due to my 3 cats waking me up at 5a each day! We have a routine. When I have to travel overnight, I can't sleep without them! I toss, turn and flail about!!!
