Eric, you guys gotta do this at Bethpage Black. It’s dubbed as top 5 hardest courses in the country, and sleeping over in your car the night before is an absolute experience. Gotta bring the viewers along and showcase that brutally tough track, that so many amateur golfers think they can play well. $80 public play, it’s the people’s course which we all can afford unlike some of the Stadium courses and Pinehurst No 2’s. Would make for an unreal watch and probably be the best breaking series yet.

Love the series, I have attended two US Opens in Pinehurst. The did not play from the extreme tips every hole. Every day they would move the tees around, I helped with rules at another Tournament. They continued to say it was a 205 Yard Par 3. They were playing from 165 the entire week. During the Pro-Am, only a hand full of PGA Professionals could hit the green. The statement mentioned was, on TV the Pros need to have a chance. Just my two Cents..

I had to look up the average LPGA tournament course length when she said her goal was 80. I think she'd beat that from the usual 6,300-6,400 yards, but she's playing from ~750 yards farther! That's like 2-3 full extra holes. She's an amazing golfer, but that shocked me to see.

I’m a 18.7 handicapper, basically the same as Mark, and with Pinehurst’s slope rating from the back tees my daily handicap works out to be 26. If I was playing stableford I’d be happy with anything 30 points or over. 30 points would be equivalent to 114. But considering these guys are playing all holes out and not picking up after a net double bogey I reckon 120 would be a good score to aim for. Aiming for 90 is pretty damn ambitious lol.

@AtomMan5232 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Great to watch this series, but once they are way off pace of their scoring you don't get as much drama/pressure on the last few holes. That being said, we'd probably all have a hard time predicting accurately what our score would be.

@@AtomMan523 no doubt, very hard to predict what any of us could score at this course and under these conditions. Lord knows I’d be in the triple digits, somewhere. And I’m sure it’s so easy to get swept up in the moment and to be a part of something this cool and unique. But just hope in the future, when you got an 8 and a 19 handicap wanting to shoot 89 or lower…just pull ‘em to the side before they get on camera and nudge them in the direction of adding 10-20 strokes to their goal. :)
