So many injustices in the world, and yet our education doesn't focus on what's actually important in life. Education is the key to positive change, and it's a commodity like anything else.

Travelling to London (from Australia) means I get to finally see your vlogs as soon as they go up, rather than 12 hours later. I love London so far and I hope I can bump into you while I'm here, you're such an amazing inspiration. Your positive, but still realistic view on the world is so amazing and to see all your travels and experiences through your unique view is wonderful.

I can hear your empathy in your voice and see it in your eyes and know why it's emotionally draining. Please don't feel like it's your job to correct the abominations of the world by yourself. Each one of us affects each other and your compassion and positiveness is already playing a role in human enlightenment .... you're already on the path my brother :-)

Thank you so much for doing something about this Louis! In 2015 I did an internship for three months for a non profit that is trying to disrupt modern slavery and this issue became one close to my heart. It is so heartbreaking and such a complicated issue with so many layers. I feel you as well when you say that you don't want to touch just one issue. There are so many issues in this world that I care about and that need support. I now work for a digital marketing agency that works only with nonprofits and social enterprises etc. so that I can touch upon multiple causes and help all of them do more good in the world. Please keep up your good work!! It is so so important that we make ourselves heard and that we do something about it!

As was said - "Almost nothing we use is not touched by slavery. What a horror!" Come to think of it we live a pretty cushy lifestyle (those who can afford to see this) that's 100% backed by various horrors that support it. We are living at the peak of a pyramid beneath us of unpleasant realities and for most of us its easier not to see those things. I suppose we accept our affluence and its cost. Hopefully in time we can open our eyes a little wider and find a better way.

One of the reasons why I watch Louis' channel is because some of the vlogs really make me think more about the world and the things that are surrounding it. I live in a small city and my life is a quite a routine - I wake up, go to school, go back home or party during the weekend. I really wish to change that and make a difference so there can be less cruelity on Earth. Thank you Louis for opening my eyes. These vlogs make me see the matters that I usually don't see.

I'm a bit cringing you didn't showcase any woman speaker. This is about women empowerment after all... Hearing feminist speeches from Trudeau, Anish Kapoor or Jeffrey Brown is great, but not enough imho.
@gbenga13388 жыл бұрын
I think naturally the world knows that women care about women empowerment. This clip may have unintentionally spoken to men like myself to stand up along with women and empower them. Not only on topics of human trafficking but also gender equality at home, school and in our workplaces.
@devilovesdevil8 жыл бұрын
Mathilde im kinda glad about it cuz it shows its not just a woman always got something to say thing its a it needs to be talked about thing alot of people are behind even guys its not just a gender thing. idk if I'm being clear enough but yea. at least one would be nice as well.
@MathildeSyrup8 жыл бұрын
thatyorubaguy Cpn. Beartato Well there wasn't anything special said tackling gender roles in this video... But my point is why would you take women issues more seriously only when handled and promoted by male famous figures ? Believe or not there are many underrated female nobel prize winners, refugees, female directors and artists he could have connected with..if he took the chance :) Efficient advocacy is to give the very person concerned a chance to speak out first and foremost..his approach lacked balance.
@gbenga13388 жыл бұрын
Mathilde, I honestly think you're only here to be annoying 'cause you're contradicting yourself. If men didn't participate in women empowerment, you'll complain. If we do, you say "Efficient advocacy is to give the very person concerned a chance to speak out" You're making it sound like it's an issue that started yesterday. Please, don't discourage those men that stand up for women despite the ridicule and mockery.
@devilovesdevil8 жыл бұрын
hmmmmm1988 well i wouldnt say that shut up part unless they deserve it i agree with the it should be women ran and spoken and a man as a the side speaker but i get what they were doing as well, i guess the good ones wanna just help too.

Hey Louis! Not gonna lie, i haven't had time to keep up with your vlogs lately (I'm a mom w/ a busy 9 month old) so I don't know if you've already talked about this or if you have plans to cover it..... but could you PLEASE bring some much needed attention to the Dakota Access Pipeline and how incredibly horrendous the people protesting at Standing Rock are being treated. You have such a big following and this seems like something you would be passionate about. Mainstream media is barely talking about this issue and Obama is remaining mostly silent too. Would you consider visiting Standing Rock or at least talking about it if you haven't already? Thank you in advance from a long time viewer.

This vlog makes me want to be more substainable and buy more things that are handmade locally or even handmade worldwide. Try to buy clothes or things that are not made in slavery countries like China, Bangladesh, India, etc its better to do your research before going shopping and encouraging certain brands and companies. Its hard to find clothes either made in Canada or in European countries it is a bit pricey but its worth it. Even our foods like sugar is made from slavery I recommend to watch the documentary The Price of Sugar. 😊 ❤

It is a horrible thing to see and hear what humans do to other humans in situations like this. We have heard many stories of of what goes on and Christians who will go in and rescue these girls who are sold into slavery. This is a heart issue and thankfully, God desires for hearts to be changed and people to be set free! Jesus tells us that He is the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father , but through Him. And, whoever He sets free is free indeed!
