Choreography is the category I'm missing!!! Think about la la land or barbie and what that entails. Choreographers have only recently been allowed into the academy so there is only one two in right now and honestly, they should be a much bigger deal than they are.

I have heard that a reason they don't have an award for stunts is because they "don't want to encourage people to try more dangerous things just to win an award". I'm not sure if that is actually the reason or if it is a snub but that is what I have heard from a couple different stunt doubles

Hi! For the nursing question, I think you still need nursing contact hours even if you’re a teacher in order to keep your nursing license, which is required to teach. But! Some other good options you can consider is clinic nursing! Typically, 9-5 rather than the inpatient 12 hour shifts, and you could also go into a specialty such as urology, aesthetics, or cardiology depending on your interest! Sometimes won’t pay as well as inpatient, but definitely worth looking into since it’s certainly less intense, emotionally volatile, and physically laborious than floor nursing

PICU where I am is the pediatric intensive care unit, so I'm very much not surprised that OP is traumatized. As a fellow traumatized nurse who also has learning issues, I moved to clinic nursing and it's so so so much better for me. Clinic, out patient/day surgery, or specialty clinic is so nice as it's regular hours, most holidays are off, no weekends, and you get to have a regular sleep schedule. I would encourage nurses who can't/won't do hospital nursing to go that direction.

Pretty sure Hollywood foreign press is for the golden globes. Also the Academy votes for the Oscar’s and you can be inducted as someone who’s made contributions to the industry (I think Zendaya is a member???? Could be under wraps). Depending on your profession as an Academy member, you nominate for that category (directors for directing, sound for sound designer, etc). Everyone I think nominates for best picture or it’s the producers since they receive that award. Then everyone votes on all categories once the nominations are finalized. The statue stands on a film reel with 5 spokes to symbolize actors, directors, writers, producers, and technicians. The voting is tallied by a 3rd party clearing house as noted at the end of each broadcast and the winners are announced live, prior to that almost no one knows the results
