Not sure of the diameter of your propane tanks, but if they're the same diameter as a 20# tank, they'll fit perfectly into a standard milk crate. That gives the tanks a square base...much more stable for transport...and milk crates are pretty cheap. When the crates are not in use, you could flip them upside down on the tanks.

Herbie, propane tanks also sit good in milk or bottle crates.

You’re right. Propane always runs out at night, always. I no longer heat with propane, use a diesel heater now. Are all these locations close enough to ride an e-bike too? I have a Yamaha TW200 and a e-bike, sadly I can’t haul both. It’s one or the other. Ice and snow here for tomorrow. Stay safe, well and positive.

@@normansimonsen1203 A 10kW battery can run a 1,000 watt electric heater for up to 10 hours (provided nothing else is using any juice.) At 1,500 watt heater can be powered for a bit less than 7 hours. With a generator on board, too...no big deal.

Herbie, do you know if the 30lb cylinder rack is the same size as the 20lb rack. Thinking about replacing my 20lb tanks before the start of next Quartzsite season and want to know if I'm going to need to replace the rack, as well. TIA.
