GETTING GERTIE'S GOAT (1924) - Dorothy Devore

It's Christie comedy time!... and here's a rare example of a complete 2 reeler. So many of the circulating Christie prints are the 1 reel hatchet-job cutdowns which are missing all the inter-titles and have lost the rhythm and pace that the director originally intended. This one (derived from two prints) is a treat and features Dorothy Devore, Neal Burns and Vera Steadman.... oh, and watch out for divorcing couple Mr & Mrs Smith, played by big Babe London and diminutive Billy Bletcher. (Billy went on to voice many famous cartoon characters, including Pete from the Disney Mickey Mouse cartoons). Enjoy!

Bravo..!! 😃 This is one of the best silent short comedies I’ve ever watched!! As a fan of darling Dorothy Devore 💕 today is my lucky day since I got to watch her earlier for the first time also with Babe London 🌸 in Kidding Katie (1923) on another KZbin page. It’s incredible how Dorothy rode on top of the luggage in the motorcycle 🏍 with sidecar! Thank You for this hilarious comedy! 😉
