And we’re smart enough to realize that they return half of that stuff. Hello Katie, your home always looks so fresh and clean. I love how you decorate for occasions, having just enough decor. I do like to refresh my home from time to time. However, I don't always buy new things, I just shop my home. I'll switch decor from room to room every now and then. In my loft area, I have pillow inserts and have several pillow covers that I rotate with seasons. With my sectional in our family room, I use pillow covers for the pillows that came with it to switch it up a bit, even though theyre not inserts. You're not boring us at all, I love watching your videos! In fact, I just finished watching your most recent marathon for the 2nd time. ( this time I cleaned along with you, 1st time I just watched). My decor stays the same, occasionally I will rearrange it or add something new. But the pillows on my living room furniture are the same pillows that came with it. You don’t have to keep up with other KZbin channels, you do you Katie, your videos are great, and your home is beautiful!

Speaking as someone from a generation older than you 😉, I don't think swapping out decor all of the time is necessary. If you like something keep using it. I do add some during holidays, but keep it minimal for most of the time. 😀

I don't switch ALOT of decor but I do move my furniture ALOT, I don't like things the same all the time , now at Christmas I swap out pillows and throws and everything that's not moving is decorated I love Christmas decor and especially lights it in general it's if you like it and it's nice and useful keep it !!!! I just found your channel! This is my first video I have seen. I have been married 15 years and we didn’t have much money to buy decor or anything like that, so I would buy maybe 1 item per year for each holiday or season. Over time I have a small collection. This year my “thing” was to get throw pillow covers for my couch pillows. I also try to get things that are not really for holidays but seasons, that way they stretch further. :) I subscribed!

We just painted our house and got new flooring We had dark and light brown walls and now we have light grey and dark grey & also got all new grey couches, coffee table and kitchen table So my whole decor has changed !! That way it is still cleaning but we can get to know you too. Also, I do not change out decor that often. Lol ... no your not boring.. I just change it up a little move items even curtains from one room to another pillows or small decor and pictures.. sometimes maybe the furniture. I'll do switcheroo before I go buy anything new.. . And yes it is definitely expensive $$ especially around the holidays if your not buying it right away . I learn to purchase early or after its cheaper and that way your have something for the next year

I only change decor for the holidays. I will keep what I have for YEARS before finally getting tired of it and just needing something new! Even for holidays, I put out the same decorations for years usually before I finally give in to the temptation to get new things. I got new fall, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day and Easter this year after having all the same things (or nothing) for like 8 years or so! 😜 So yeah, regular home decor is the same. We got new to us couches recently and so I have started to change over some of the decor in the living room a little at a time. Also finally changing some things in my dining room after 8-10 years!! 😂 Too rich for my blood to change it more often!!

I just changed the decor in my house that I had for 20 years when I buy something I make sure I love it and I am very traditional so things don't go out of style I don't buy things that are in style today and next week they'll be out of style example the rug that I have in my formal dining room it's an oriental rug that cost $6,000 well I cannot afford to change that nor do I want to so I will probably keep it till I die

I honestly love that you don't feel the need to be constantly buying new pillows or decor and changing a whole room every 2-3 months like you see on the larger channels. Not sure if you are into DIY...there is a newish stripping technique with oven cleaner that would look great for your coffee table. It would take the color somewhere near the color of your barstools and go really well with your decor 🙂
