Looking at your recent content vs your older content (or even Mariano’s). There’s been a big shift in your narrative. In the past, you focused more on opponents’ ranges, what can you realistically beat, equity in a hand, and sprinkled in a hero call here and there. Versus your content now, it’s been “I’m down a lot of money, so I gotta go for it”. I think if you start playing the same way that made your channel really popular, you’ll start making money in your million dollar challenge (slowly, but surely. Good luck Ethan!

There's a couple problems, most of us learn to play with experience and since Ethan got the horseshoe up there early by getting a chance to play over his experience with merch and KZbin income he never had to really learn to play. Second he has exposed his really blatant sizing tells on video for sharp players to see, as well as his degenerate style of gambling in the game. He is playing a lot lately like a pit junkie chasing losses and even a fish like airball has been showing he has to learn the game while Ethan doesn't seem to care. With that said you and I just paid him some pennies to keep grinding and a lot of people buy the merch so the income comes whether he cares to learn or not.

I don’t understand why you call an all-in with QJo…even if it’s “only 860 bucks,” that’s still a lot of money and if you punt like that all the time you will have a tough time climbing back to $1,000,000.

I don’t believe I’ve ever “disliked” a video on KZbin before, but there’s a first for everything. If Ethan isn’t reading the comments, we gotta at least let him know through the KZbin analytics that these videos are complete trash. Sure, I watch these videos for entertainment, but the main reason is to learn how a solid poker pro thinks and analyzes poker hand situations, but this just isn’t cutting it.. Also, unbelievable how he “doesn’t think he’s making too many terrible mistakes”… from loving this channel, to despising it, I really hope he makes a change for the better, because as everyone is saying, this is the road to -$1,000,000. Hoping this turns around, we miss the old Rampage..
@Konitama

You don't have to dislike the video... Just stop watching his content. He's clearly not a "solid poker pro". He sun runned some tournaments which made him look like he knew what he was doing. The past couple of years is just reality catching up to him. Either watch for entertainment only, or don't watch. You aren't going to learn anything helpful from Rampage aside from what not to do.

Solid poker pro and Ethan don’t belong in the same paragraph bro. If you’re really here to learn from a poker pro and the analytical part of the game then you’re on the wrong channel. This is absolutely a “what not to do” in EVERY HAND. Even when he was winning it wasn’t analytical, it was absolute gambling. Don’t come here for tips and tricks. This guy is an absolute idiot who hasn’t learned that doing the same thing expecting different results is insane.

The first hand pretty much sums up perfectly rampages throwing good money after bad issue. Rampage plays absolute trash pre-flop at positional disadvantage against ranges that are also super wide and often end up multi way. Feels the need to c-bet to thin the field with a junky draw. Start a semi bluff on turn, because guess what the trash hand is still trash. Then blasts it at the end when river bricks. I feel like you can't just use aggression to correct prior mistakes, it's ok to have some give ups. I reckon Rampage gets looked up with a Queen quite a lot given his image, especially if this was at Hustler. It's also a double edge sword, if the bluffs get through it encourages more aggression. If they don't get through then it's tilting and encourages more aggression. Bluffs should scare people..but I feel like consistent and sometimes badly timed aggression, people are more scared of the bet size (pot odds) and not scared of the story you are trying to tell e.g I have thick value. Storytelling (the entire line and image, history)/betsize are similar and related but not the same i.e I know rampage is probably overbluffing but I'm not sure this is the right spot to call down with a weak Q to such a large bet

@@jaeger.9055 It doesn't matter. Once he's all in with KJ Vs 77 he should win roughly half the time. To win no boards is just bad luck, it is that simple.

I love your videos. You need to smarten up. You know it yourself. Let go off hands QJo when facing an all in. That's just standard play, yet you make the call. Even if you hit it, your gain would be based on luck instead of smart play

I am always rooting for you.. but open raise KJ off to 600- Then calling off the remaining 1660.. hopefully you hit.. In this case you were live 45-55.. in many cases your completely dominated 70-30 to AK or even worse.. Thats almost 2.5k you shouldn't gamble(I understand it's the last hand of the day and you were stuck about 10k.) Tighten up a little bit and you will find more positive results.. I am again stating I am always rooting for you.😊
