20 million wont last for your grandkids, grandkids. thats insane. Its a lot of money but its not that much at the same time. I have more than one relative with that amount and it appears that its likely to last 2 generations. By the time you split it with a few kids and each of those do the same its really not a ton of money. It will help your grandchildren with downpayments and college but your great grandchildren are unlikely to be rich because of it. A large part of that is because you usaully have more than one kid and so it keeps diluting. If each generation just has 2 kids its gone in 2-3 generations. If the third generation inherits 2-3 million that is far from generational wealth at that point. By the way the money is probably gone already lol.
