So much depends on volume, compression, sound reflection so on and so forth. I had a TVP ID60 that was destroyed in a fire. I replaced it with the silverline deluxe. My feeling is the open back compared to the original TVP closed back makes the biggest difference. I prefered the ID60. My settings are saved on the blackstar web (petew sunshine). I prefered the TVP ID60. But wind the Silverline up and that is properly loud. In the end those of us who have gigged with tube amps (AC30, Marshall combos) know that they weigh too much, only choose to work when they want to. some times sound absolutley shit and only occasionaly sound amazing. And always are a pain in the ass. In the studio tubes all the way. Gigging in pubs and clubs, go digital or transistors. Unless you are in the megastar league and can afford amp techs from the amp company.

Cool video man. I have the special also.. Has no mid knob, no presence - so i just take it for what it is. Nice amp.

Maybe you don´t know - mid and presence are existing but hidden.

I have the Silverline Special. I can’t even get the software to download onto my IPad. I have a MacBook Pro also but want Architect on just my IPad. Reason being is. I need to make the FX loop work. Any ideas I can try? Also, all the guys that started BlackStar left Marshall to start BlackStar. Most of Marshall’s patents belong to 1 guy at BlackStar.

Maybe you could download the software onto your MacBook, turn on the FX loop, then delete the software from the MacBook...? Otherwise I'm afraid I have no suggestions.

@@MetalProfessor65 that was my best thought as well.

Good luck, man! (Quick question: I'm considering doing a vid about how to use the FX loop of the Silverline. Good idea or not?)@@BAND-MAID-USA
