I just wanna point out, that their ending tracks are always SO fucking good. The Travellers, Swing the Axe, Spiral, Napalm Dreams and now The Man that I was not - all of those tracks are a journey, full of suffering, misery sadness and a minuscule glimpse of hope. All of those tracks are a in their own league.

Fav riff of the album is easily the two triplet guitar riff verses in the first half of the Two Towers song. Man that triplet riff is so punishing and driving and has an awesome flow to it. It is a song where they tried to experiment a bit from their other stuff which just hit a home-run and became my absolute favorite song from them instantly.

Of course it does. Spotify's audio isn't great. It's default is 96kbp/s and then when you add in KZbin's compression on top of that, it results in a pretty awful sound. Spotify Premium users can access 320kp/s quality, but it's still lossy and not good enough to escape KZbin's compression.

Personally this album I found better than shadow of intents, which I was surprised at cus I was more excited for SOEs record. I still rlly liked elegy but I wasn't gripped the whole way through, I think melancholy was a bit better balanced
