Anyways here's a explanation for how tattoos work in brief - when you get tattoos the outer layer of skin the epidermis is damaged then the ink is injected in the blood layer beneath that and many blood vessels get ruptured and the immune system activates to engage with foreign particles and try to digest it but it can't because ink is not going to be digested so the immune cells trap the ink and stay in place to protect the body and the tattoo becomes settled and over time this cells get replaced with new cell that trap the ink so tattoo becomes faded over time
