Thank you for this video! I feel like I'm exactly in your shoes right now and this really helped me a lot to "re-brand" get my mission/vison statement together as well as literally writing down the different styles I could explore! I'm still fairly new to art (well professionally) and I keep struggling between a couple art styles to officially call it "my style". For example I either like REALLY CUTE CARTOON theme characters or I like more mature aesthetic human-style characters. I decided that I shouldn't put any restraints on myself just yet while I'm still learning the ropes and see which one I lean more towards as long as I get the drawing practice in. Because of the struggle, I'm barely making any art all D:

Hello Annabelle, I just started watching your videos last year I believe and I just wanted to say thank you for posting these. Even when it's not going well. I'm more of a writer than one who draws (though I find drawing can be inspiring), but it's nice to know I'm not alone if I'm in a creative rut like I have been. A question for you as well: What do you think, when people say art block does not exist? Have a blessed day and keep it up!

Thank you so much for the kind words 🥰 That's a really good question! I think art block exists - you can most certainly have bad days and good days when it comes to drawing / writing! But I do believe that it usually happens due to an underlying cause, rather than being something completely random that gets in the way. Whether that's being burnt out due to overworking, hitting a road block with our skillset because we don't know how to go about drawing a particular thing, stress or even boredom - it's quite a natural part of the process, and of life in general ☺️ It can be difficult to fix some of these underlying problems, especially if we struggle to identify what exactly they are, but I do believe that it is something that we all have the capability of getting through to the other side of with the right solutions, commitment and often just a bit of time ❤️ What do you think about this?

What is the editor you used to create your brand page?

I used Procreate for simplicity, but it's not traditionally what you'd use for Graphic Design stuff! Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop and Canva are really good alternatives ❤️
