I grew up washing dishes by hand. I didn’t get my first dishwasher until the early 90’s and now I could never live without one. I have a certain way that I like to load the dishwasher too, however, if I had someone else offered to do it , like at holiday time, if I did most of the cooking I am good with it. I have never mowed the lawn either. I live in a condo and pay for that. I still want to own a house one more time before I die and if I can do that, I will have a lawn service. You always inspire me. Have a great weekend and a good, safe travel trip.

Jen, I totally agree with you on the freezer use. FYI, I also freeze mushrooms…from raw, if I don’t think I will use them before they go out. They are super handy for stir fries and soup. I hit the hot pan with them directly from the freezer. Worked great. I also freeze onions, peppers (all types), carrots etc. the only thing I have not frozen is potato, but I heard some talk about freezing mash potato in individual scoops 🤔

This video was right on time for me! I’m an RN also, and I’ve just started a work from home, Remote Triage job for Occupational Health injuries. I thought it would be a dream job after all those years of crazy patient ratios. But….I’m struggling! There is no time to enjoy working from home, like I thought, because it’s so busy. I scramble for a super quick lunch then right back to work. 😩 It’s much harder than I ever thought working from home would be. But, girl, no 1:5-6 patient ratios anymore. Thank God. How long did it take you to adjust to working from home?

Working from home for about 4 years now and agree that just because you're home, it doesn't mean you've got all this extra time. Whatever time you save on the commute, you spend on something that needs to be done around the house. And you end up working longer and not noticing. I have to get better about balance.

For a period of time in the '90s I traveled frequently and I got so tired of it. One tip that I learned since I would occasionally have my trip extended a day or two or being in the midwest would get stuck overnight due to weather is I always carried an extra day or two worth of medication for me as well as an extra generic white or cream colored shirt and an extra pair of underwear and socks. Back in the day it was trouser socks cuz we wore suits with slacks but it could be whatever kind of socks you wear based on how you have to dress for your job. Anyway those are kind of my tips for when I traveled but again I do not miss that at all. Your family is very lucky that you take such good care of them and get so much done for them before you leave so that you know they will be well cared for while you are gone. I had a friend who had to travel very rarely for her job and sometimes she would be gone just one or maybe two nights and when she would get home her husband would be so appreciative of her and just not realizing how much she really did do around the house in terms of coordinating their son's schedule, doing laundry, cooking, cleaning etc., etc., etc., all that stuff that working moms do on their second full-time job. I don't know how you do it Jen. It's like you have three full-time jobs between your family your nine to five job and your KZbin job. You must not need much sleep? Anyway thanks for all the tips on prepping produce. I know if I would do a better job of that I would eat a lot more of it and not waste things like I sometimes do. Hope you had a good trip I'm sure you're already back by now.

Great video Jen. I heard on tv that it’s safer to pay for your gas inside the station instead of using the credit card slit in the pump. Authirutues say that hackers use a gadget to retrieve your credit card information from the pump. I don’t know, but you can ask Adam. Better to be safe then sorry.I love those clear plastic containers for the refrigerator. A friend of mine was telling me her daughter had to buy a new refrigerator and the man that came to see if the old one could be fixed recommended to buy a regular refrigerator with no frills for the kitchen and buy an extra freezer for the basement or garage. They don’t make things like they used to, I am on my third refrigerator in 19 years. Have a great weekend, love you and your family and your videos.

We didn't have a dishwasher when we were kids, so it was my job to wash the dishes and my younger brother's job to dry. He got smart and just waited until they dried on their own, which just made me angry because he was getting out of work. So I would go into the kitchen on every TV commercial and spray them down again with the sink sprayer until he finally dried them all and put them away. 😂 I was kind of a horrible big sister.
