I’m a Christian and I really love watching Leena’s videos, they’re so comforting, aesthetic and as I’m on my veiling journey, I look up to Leena and other Muslim women who make hijab look so beautiful and so stylish 😍 although Christian veiling isn’t as full coverage (although it can be) because the point for us isn’t to cover all hair and specific body parts, but I , for example, wear a veil just like Leena but without and undercap, so I’m very inspired and grateful for her hijab tutorials and just for her videos overall 😊

Organic Chicken means it's slaughtered. Not electrical killing. Technically, if you follow Shafii or Maliki mazhab, you can eat meat from Christian Majority Society with no Bismillah. This doesn't apply in Europe cause people are atheists. US still holds Christianity.

They organic food pouches for babies at Target. Spinach,lentils, chicken, beef, turkey, beets…it was awesome at introducing new foods or when they get hungry when we’re out. Also you can always make your own purees and put them in reusable pouches

Love ur channel, and the different topics you share. In regards to your baby only liking fruit, I had the same problem with my daughter. I noticed she would only like banana, mango and apple. So I bought reusable puree pouches online (Amazon) and made my own puree and i would add some veggies so long and they didn't over power the flavor of the fruit, u cud also try using some of the non dairy yogurt you bought. I wud use dates or maple syrup for added sweetness if needed while she was under 1yr then I switched to honey

My toddler has eczema since she was 3 mo. She has dairy and egg allergies too. So my paediatric dietitian recommended soy over coconut to replace dairy sources in her diet so I give her vitasoy yogurt it's higher in protein and has added 400 mg calcium in it too. Hope this helps❤

Salam dear Leena.. i wanted to ask how do you know if your meat is halal/ slaughtered the right way? Here in the UK we have the HMC board. Which is the abbreviation for Halal monitoring committee. And they make sure our animals are slaughtered in the most best manner and they are not hurt at all. Meaning not stunned etc. Just a man with imaan, and the animal is sacrificed using an extremely sharp knife and of course saying the word's "bismillahi Allahuakbar". Talking from observation as i myself have been to the slaughter house. How do you American Muslims know it is halal? Just asking out if curiosity.. would love to know how it works in your side of the world. Also the vegan's and vegetarians. Please don't come at me. Plants are also alive and also have a right to live. They also need nurturing. So. God has created livestock for us humans to eat and appreciate all the sustenance He has provided for us. That is animals and plants and the world around us so that we take heed and learn. God has created man as the best of creation. Which is why we have intellect. Animals can ofcourse be intelligent but ofc humans always have the upper hand. Thats why humans can take animals like horses etc or large dogs as their pets and they are the boss. As they have the gift of the brain and intellect and animals do not as god has made them for the use of mankind. We are taught in Islam, never to harm or hurt animals and so even when they are slaughtered. It is done in the most unhurtful manner. Unlike how meat in normal supermarkets. They are unfortunately stunned or hammered. Sad. Anyway so please dont come at me. And hope that makes sense to all! Peace out!

@@DoeJohn-ty2rp - NO, No, No!! This is misguidance. This rule was for Ahl al Bayt- meaning 'People of the Book' in the time of the Prophet (SAW) They used to say the name of God before slaughtering. Americans today are NOT Ahl al Kitab- the slaughterhouses and farms are not run by practicing Christians! Anyway, this rule was late abrogated. Modern Americans do not even follow the Bible. Please er on the side of caution, if in doubt - don't do it.

Please post more of what you give Jonah to eat, baby meal ideas & maybe a video on what you give different compared to your first. Also, just saw as you cleaned up, clearing away the decor. As a Clinical Psychologist I can vouch for the fact that our home decor signals differing emotions and connections to us. For example, your ramadhan decor - the white mosque you moved out of the cabinet - is ‘Muslim’ orientated. Seeing it as part of your central living space will reinforce your child’s natural connection to their Muslim identity. So maybe get other decor that reinforces this connection on a daily basis and not just certain seasons.

Salam, just offering my advice here. I would definitely take advantage of the opportunity to visit Maldives as a family alhamdullilah. But Imo you should just go straight to the Maldives and skip the Istanbul trip. Unless you want to visit Istanbul with the kids, it doesn't make sense to visit just to "adjust to the time." There basically is no way to adjust for a four day trip, so intentionally extending the trip when you're already not used to traveling doesn't make sense to me. Unless you have family there that can make the trip easier adding an additional leg of the journey is just that, additional leg that you have to prep for. The best thing to do is to get business/first class seats in order to be able to recline with the kids. Jonah will have a bassinet so its just alaina you have to entertain. Alhamdullilah for you mil and im sure shes thankful to attend as well inshallah. Have fun and hope it will on KZbin. ❤
