hey ruby, year11 here! i know you posted this video a while ago so there's a chance you might not see this, but i wanted to give you, and anyone reading this, some tips for year 10/11 that i've found really helpful. there's quite a few assessments that you do during year 10 an 11, and i know how stressful these can be, but genuinely, if you're struggling or need extra support, 1: ask a teacher, it's what they're there for, and getting ahead of things you don't understand will make your life so much easier in the long run! another thing, if you do rubbish in a test, it genuinely isn't the end of the world, take every test as a learning opportunity, and just do your best. another huge thing for me, which i'm kicking myself for not doing, is not making revision materials as i went through year 10, after every couple lessons for each subjects (id definitely recommend science, english, and geography) making notes, whether that's flashcards, info sheets like mind maps, and keeping them somewhere safe will save you so much time when revising in both year 10 and 11, especially when it comes to mocks! making character profiles, theme plots and general notes on english literature texts will help a lot too, after a year of not studying a text, having notes with the ideas from when they're fresh in your head is so helpful. a final general tip i have is for coursework subjects (technology, business, art etc) is keeping on top of your coursework, especially in year 10, you'll thank yourself for it in the future! good luck for this year ruby, im sure you'll do fab!!

@@tillyd3612 I'm honestly so thankful for all of this, I am about to go into year 11 and the thing about the revision materials I couldn't agree more as they are tailored to your needs making them (in my opinion) much more reliable. Hii Ruby! I'm in Year 11 and honestly you are doing a lot more revision than I did in year 10 lol. Also a tip for revision, when you learn the content on flashcards, use blurting and apply them to past papers! Hope this helps and gl with revision xx

I am in year 9 and started having the sciences separately with different teachers and yh drama does have a lot of writing my sister took it for gcse and is doing a degree in drama she said it gets rlly fun when doing practical. Have you got any tips for me staying organised in revision, homework and I do also want to take gcse art ❤

Hi I'm not Ruby but I'm in Year 11 so I hope you can help. I honestly wished I revised earlier in Year 10 now that I have mocks next week but since you're in year 9, I would say don't burn yourself too much with stress. You start learning proper GCSE topics in Year 10-11 so you have plenty of time. Just make sure you understand the topics so you aren't too stressed when you get to year 10 and 11, revise for your tests and please listen to your teachers (lot's of people don't but they are there to help you no matter how annoying they may be! ). For homework, I recommend doing it as soon as it's set or the day after to avoid stress or forgetting to do it (of course if you have time). And I take GCSE Art and it's a lot of coursework but so worth it if you really enjoy it like me . Trust me, you don't have to be amazing at drawing or painting as long as you are creative. Honestly just try your best in tests and don't stress yourself with too much homework and revision right now and enjoy Year 9 xx
