This is why I don’t rush myself to read books, I go at my own pace. This is what I’ve always done; been a bookworm all my life. Many new readers rush straight throw a load of TikTok books and then get burnt out, I say just do what reading is about; relaxing and escaping into another reality. Don’t worry about meeting goals that you set yourself, nobody’s gonna look down on you for only reading 2 books in a month, it’s your life, your choice, do what you want! :) reading is for fun, it’s not homework x

Same, I feel like a lot of people get overwhelmed easily with everyone reading faster than them and finishing so many books in a month.

i love love love the reading vlogs !! and tbh i totally understand. at one point i was reading 3-4 books a week and it became overwhelming and too much for me and i ended up in a slump, + not really enjoying anything i was reading (and i don’t think it necessarily was bc of the books). so slowing down the reading process to take my time and “savor” the books more definitely help !!!
@CocoDay2 жыл бұрын
yes! savouring them is so important i think, otherwise i forget about them as soon as i’m done ://

i was also in a reading slump at the end of march:( it's literally the worst ever. what i learnt: changing up the genres i read. instead of reading 2 romance books back to back i now read at least one thriller/fantasy/contemporary or an (ready-to-read) classic inbetween. also i take a 1 day break after i finish a book to really digest what i just read ! also i feel like i gravitate towards an under-250-page book whenever i'm in a reading slump. those are my tips to get our of one :D

I just love your reading vlogs, the athmosphere and the way you film and edit them is so nice! I'm not in a reading slump, I actually kinda wanna read all the books because there are so many interesting ones. But that may actually be the problem: it's hard to choose and then I struggle with focusing on only one book at the time :D I usually try to read max 2 physical books at the same time.

I read Before the coffee gets cold in one sitting hahaha. The format/repetition can feel weird bc it was originally a play! I loved it but i think if it was read over a longer period of time it’d be harder to get into/harder to form attachments to the characters. Sort of like watching a movie in one go rather than stopping and starting it over a few days. That’s what i found anyway!
@CocoDay2 жыл бұрын
ahhh didn’t know it was meant to be a play! that makes more sense 🤔

I absolutely adore The man who died twice!!🥰 I'm from Slovakia but I go to uni in Scotland sooo here's the answer to your question: I would definitely find it less funny if I had not been living in the UK for the last three years. The British humour is something that runs in my mother's side of the family (even though we're all 100% Slovak but I have not taken the DNA test so take this with a pinch of salt) 😄 however my dad, bless him, he does not share it with us so I'm constantly reminding him that "it was sarcasm" hahahah. Are we the same person?? I have also been into cats lately!!
@CocoDay2 жыл бұрын
oh that’s amazing!! scotland is so beautiful i hope you’ve enjoyed your time there :)) ahhh i completely get that, our humour can sound quite mean if you don’t understand it’s a joke 😂😂 i’m so happy you got to appreciate the book as it should be ❤️❤️
