We moved to Plano IL August 2020 and when my children and I were driving around Chicago it was storming so bad we stopped under an overpass to wait and come to find out there was a tornado 2 miles from us... that was our Welcome to Illinois moment. Exactly one year later, it's storming and we lose power again. We still enjoy the nice cool summer (we moved from coastal VA).

Lol so my dad is a land surveyor. He used to work out in the field taking the measurements and working with the equipment. Now he actually updates maps on the computer and makes sure they’re accurate. Lots of math and I think equations.

Ok a couple things. One summer during college my cousin and I went to stay with a friend who lived outside Chicago and it was the only time in my life I had to go in the basement because of a tornado. Second, my dog is so much like yours when she’s in the car.

It must be a Midwest thing. I have a very distinct memory as a kid of going out to get a pizza in a tornado, so we had something to eat in the basement. The sky was greenish black and it was probably a really dumb idea, but at least we had pizza.

A yawn actually does get more oxygen flowing into your lungs, and a yawn can be triggered by lack of oxygen in your body

Yawns are because of lack of oxygen to your brain! Also do you drive further to the Starbucks with the drive thru? Isn't there one still by the Jewel? My brother works for EGV he's a foreman and his Girlfriend works for EGTV but I haven't been that was lately but last I was there, there was a Starbucks there! Your nephew is adorable!
