Getting Power Point inside

We will quickly pick up 3 ways we can get a PowerPoint or Keynote presentation into our @ResolumeVJSoftware and then do our rest of the magic with effects, slices and so on! How exciting is that?

We will start with using a simple USB capture device and using two computers, MAC or PC, doesn't matter. Infact all of the 3 tricks, its same for MAC or PC, windows and OSX. In the later part of the video we will learn the magic of NDI, which allows us to do video transfer over simple network, super easy to setup and cheap to expand. In this video I subtly mentioned a thing but its important to mention once more- please dont cheap out on cheaper things such as cables and converters. Because regardless how expensive your GPU is, you won't "SEE" its actual capability if you're using a cheaper cable with lower data transfer capability. Other than this, no grandpa' talk!

Would the capture card device also send audio into resolume? For example if there is a video in the PowerPoint will the audio also be captured? Cheers 👋🏻

yes it can. here's how- 1. on your computer using powerpoint, make sure the default audio output is set to HDMI output 2. in your resolume computer, check out windows audio settings and ensure that your capture device is enabled as audio input. 3. now you can set your resolume's audio input to the capture device to have audio signal into resolume. 4. but you might want to "listen" the audio from powerpoint inside your resolume computer. or you may want to output that to speaker. so navigate to windows audio system, check recording settings, change properties of the device, and enable "listen" let me know if it worked for u or not

You dont really need the switcher in NDI just plug one cat6 cable to both computers and done

Not in all the cases. Getting connected via switcher eliminates other challenges and adds expandability. Thanks for your constructive comment 🫡

absolutely wired connection over wifi. NDI over WIFI should be your last choice if there's no wired option, such as mobile phone maybe.
