I think it's a bit funny that you have an ornament on your tree that is a barn with See Rock City painted on its roof. I grew up in NE Alabama, and I remember as a child seeing the actual barns that were painted with that slogan on many of the farms near where my grandparents lived. This area was just a touch south of the Chattanooga/Tenn state border. Those slogans were painted on old barns everywhere! The farm owners were probably paid a small amount of money to have the ad painted on their barns.

We bought it in Chattanooga at Rock City Gardens, that’s why that’s painted on it 😊 It was a special trip meeting my dad there & it was also our daughter’s birthday. Our tree is a memory tree with our decorations each telling a story ❤️

@@LollipopBoxClub Yes I knew that. I watched the vlogs! I grew up near there and saw all the big barns on the roadsides painted with slogan. I'm old, so that's from the 1960s when I began seeing them. The painted barns were older than that even then. They are still there in many places.

Love your tree. We've been collecting decorations since we got married over 30 years ago so ours is definitely a memory tree as well. And we have lots of Disney as well 🙂. Never made french onion soup. That was an amazing store. I can see why your brother has visited 3 times. I used to have a Christmas village. I'd buy a house every year. The kids loved it when they were younger. Since we are downsizing and thanks to having fibromyalgia I haven't set it up in years I've passed it on to my oldest.

Been feeling overwhelmed, uninspired and sad ( Parkinson’s) totally unprepared for Christmas. Following along with your move and all that ensues has given me something to look forward to and to think about. Maybe it’s time to think about 1 level living? When me n hubby were courting, we visited Avebury loads and bought my Engagement Ring from the Henge shop..always feel cozy after watching your videos and yes you will get used to railside living 🍾 ❤️
