We moved to a place where we had space, A house that would be a forever home, like yours in Tuscany. With land around around us, room for a veg garden, beautiful big trees. You both have been so smart to future proof yourselves now while you can. I loved Positano through your eyes. LOVING! the red sofa cover. Makes the room pop and inviting. Always a pleasure, getting to watch Nicki & Carlo on Sundays. Aww! @ Indy running after Elizabeth and her family's car as they drove away. I didn't want to see them leave too. I wondered when she and her family would visit and didn't think that' what Nicki was referring to, when she said she had guest coming over. I was so nice! to see them here in the new house. LOL! @ Elizabeth being playful with her goodbye "I will miss you" made me choke up a bit. She is so full of love in her heart. I just love her. Happy Birthday, Nicki! I remember you in Positano many many years ago with your beautiful red hair! I regret not getting to know you well back then. I used to come to Positano on any given holiday or long weekend. My lovely boyfriend Giulio sadly passed away very young, and of course, I remember Carlo too. I remember one time I visited Giulio and they had moved him to the family grave but I had no idea so I totally panicked. Carlo, very graciously told me where to go. I love the new home so much. Just a dream. I'm so proud of you two. I love all the plans. Knocking out that wall to open that long room is fantastic. You could put a very long dinning table in that space for summer dinners. Also, the other kitchen you took out is to be a TV room. Why not use the kitchen fixtures that are left for an espresso bar. Looking good guys!!! I have a countertop idea for you... Some dish racks have an enclosed drink tray like a cookie sheet with edges all the way around... You could fit something like that to the LEFT of your sink.... And then cover the existing drain board and top of the small white cabinet with one nice piece of wood or butcher block... Surface would be uneven beneath.. But I'm sure you could figure something... Then you would have a full counter top space from the left edge of the stove to the right edge of the sink... Would give lots of great space... Just another idea to play with as you adjust into your temporary kitchen.

Becky you were not the only one, when I saw Elizabetta and the children arrive with Pepe and their dogs, it was so emotional too! AS well as when Skye arrived too!
