i don't really think she is insecure, she didn't have to show her body n stuff yet here she is pregnant for the 2nd time and sharing it with with the world. plus pregnancy and all the changes happen during& after can be hard on anyone. moms are super humans, why not focus on all the amazing stuff instead :)

Guys, I have a geuine question. Why do so many famous models look so super super pretty? They are not like the usual person. I have always been told, that designers want nothing to distract from the clothes. And that this was a reason for them to pick very skinny models. But doesn't a very pretty face also distract from the clothing? And wouldn't it be prefered to have someone who looks like the general/usual person? (Not a question to attack Romee, since I think she is gorgeous and also has a lovely personality. I'm just interested how it works in the industry).

Romee is the typical model, especially with victoria secret, and the others you are thinking of probably are as well, it's more beauty and fashion and lingerie modelling. That preference of 'very thin models to not take away from the clothing and look like nothing more than a walking clothing hanging' is pretty exclusively only true for high fashion runway modelling, and those models are a lot thinner. And what you're wondering is actually true, a large percentage of hf runway models have very average faces to even below average, if not that it's the more interesting faces then someone immediately stunningly pretty, and androgynous looks. For an example see Cara Taylor and Choi Sora compared to a face like any of the other vs angels.

I looked up the models you mentioned and it is interesting to see how the type of model indeed can differ depending on the type of brand. I think models that work(ed) for a brand like VS, such as Romee, might be a bit more in the picture/better known. That's why I got the wrong impression most models are like that, when in fact, there of course are different types. I remember a model from my home country, who was not a 'classical' beauty, but had a very interesting look and was very wanted by multiple brands because of that.

@@anna97865 No worries. :) It can really depend on the brands target audience, the type of person who wants to buy lingerie and feel as beautiful as a vs model, or someone who wants to buy a haute couture piece. The industry and standards have changed a lot in the past few decades. A lot of people still expect high fashion models to be like the very beautiful 90's supermodels and can get confused when they see more average and androgynous models who walk stiffly, but it's just what the designers want these days- exactly as you've been told, someone who doesn't distract from the clothing. And I think it now has to do with the extreme success of these big luxury fashion brands, but in the 80's-2000's the supermodels were everything to these brands, because if you as a brand could afford the girls you'd be a success.
