I got sick with Covid long term and almost lost my car and place to stay because I was in such bad shape I couldn’t work. I’d show up for work and I’d get sent home because an hour into my shift I’d start throwing up or getting dizzy. All because somebody breaks something or gets sick doesn’t mean they should put their health aside all because of the system we live in

One time before covid, I ended up catching a bad case of flu. My doctor diagnosed me with it, told me to stay home 3 days to prevent spread to others. My work at the time said they do not accept results from outside of their own health clinic

The medical care procedures costs and even dental care costs are inflated. I live in Orange county California and I have couple of friends that keep going to dentist in TJ Mexico. The amount they paid for the whole treatment is one third my deductibles. I don’t know Spanish so for me it’s not an option. There are many factors impacting the prices but congress need to address them but the main issue health insurance companies are the biggest donors for both political parties.

My dad died of metastatic bone cancer, it started off as prostate cancer but he refused treatment because of the sheer cost. By the time he finally went to the hospital, he was Stage 4 - Terminal. He never fully regained consciousness for more than a few minutes at a time. The last thing he said to me, over a Zoom call, was: "It's ok, I just need to get over this" He died that night. I never got to say Good-bye! My heart still hurts two years later. 😢 I know he never sought treatment because of the cost. He and my mom were retired and living on Social Security. They already had horrible bills from my mom's Parkinson's treatment and were looking at more bills for another couple of surgeries she had. My mom passed away only two months after my dad. We knew, once dad had passed, mom would have nothing to live for. I blame Capitalism and Greedy Healthcare for both of their deaths. They were both in their early 80's and there was no reason they should have died the way they did.

I lost my home because of medical issues. i wasn't abusing substances, living dangerously, etc. I call it a glitch, there's no succinct name for it - but i'm not unique, nor is my "glitch" -. not everything has been discovered/resolved in the medical field like they have people believe. it's like the recycling plastic people that has you thinking one way but the truth is much different

At this time we need to have faith not just in ourselves but each other. Our hope and belief in each other is what has united us as a Nation. And our division will end the Democracy we seek to preserve. The current division serves as a distraction causing uncertainty at a time when we should be sharing common horizons, we survive together. Faith, heart and soul is what will restore Hope. We all carry the weight of brokenhearts that tell us so much has gone wrong. We've lost so much but we can at least return a little hope to each other and the world. That's the uniting goal, faith in each other for hope of a better future. Hope is the Fire that does not consume but illuminates, it will lead and unite us. If we listen to our hearts, it gives us an inner voice that will guide us to a better path.
