Beardyman is a living legend in the beatbox and loop station communities. He helped build them, and inspired a ton of current performers and competitors within those communities. He's called Beardyman because he needed a name for the post advertising one of his first shows, and he had a beard at the time, and he's kept the name. i learned of beardyman and was amazed with him when watching the 2006 UK b-boy competition when he battled a DJ as a beatboxer and pretended to be a DJ and did both vocals and beat at the same time which is *ridiculous*

ok i know this is a late comment but i just neede to make a comment beardyman is a legend in the beatbox world his inspiration was rahzel that beatbox can be used to provide a whole show rather than just small interludes he is a pioneer so much talent its unreal. The loopstation has got more popular over the years but hes been on it since day one. We all know harry is the goat for freestyling of the top and simply in my opinion the best at it. Before yall call me out i am on about a freestyle not a freeverse there is a difference. No one can freeverse better then blackthought in my opinion but thats a talk for another day lol. The reason i hade to write this is as you can tell we have 2 artist here that i kind of idolize from seperate worlds beatbox one of my passions and rap another passion of mine i would have never of even thought seeing these two doing a collab its just like i woke up in a different dimension pure awesomness for me to see.

Like KRS one said he always has at least 8 bars at any given time that could end your career if you battle him, KRS one always believed in being prepared for a rap battle and staying sharp and having material ready when you have to freestyle. Great mentality to have

The software beardyman uses takes a voice sample and then there is like equalizers, modulators, vocoders and all sorts of effects and ways you can manipulate the sounds you record into the software. So you can change the pitch of the voice but you can even add like distortion and stuff to the sounds and change it so it makes robot noises. The point of the keyboard is when you record 1 sound the keyboard puts the sound on all the keys then each key like a piano goes from lowest range to highest range and you can play that 1 sound like a piano from low, mid, high ranges in all different chords. Pretty fascinating I played around a bit with it on a basic level but beardy man just takes it to a whole different level not even the best DJ's in the world can produce music at this speed they take anywhere from days to months producing 1 track. And it's all layers upon layers with sounds building up the layers and then the DJ'ing part comes into play like beat matching and transitioning into next beats

Well.. Beardyman has filters ready so when he gets an idea he hits the filter button and the record button, then makes a noise that gets distorted by the filter and sampled into the loop.

He makes that sound with the use of a sound effect pedal conneted to the loop maching.. if your interested in seeing a little more off loop peddling check out Dub FX and his song made or Elijah MC song called catch my flow.. both use nothing but sound and loop pedals and there voice

Sounds like you need to react to the livestream with Marc Rebillet and Harry Mack. They're perfect together. Harry is the straight man and Marc is pure charisma. He also makes songs up on the spot with a loop machine. He's amazing in his own right. Look up "Work That Ass For Daddy" sometime. Or just check their livestream.
