Rub some olive oil on the pecan stump, hands on it, and PRAY over it. Your faith will cause it to regrow! You might even have more than one come up and have to replant them. This is an example of having a broken heart and Psalms 41:3 tells us God will heal the brokenhearted. I am glad nobody was hurt and you have a chance to repair and heal things quickly, I pray this in Jesus name, Amen. God bless the Denman Homestead. 🙏🙏

Norma here. Aww Buddy, I hate to see you looking so sad, exhausted and almost defeated. I know it’s just everything hitting you. All the driving, the work, the stress and the heat. I also know that you’ll be back to your old self in no time. I’m so sorry about the pecan tree and I don’t know it’s history, but you can always plant another to replace it. Hope it doesn’t take too long before your roof can be repaired or replaced. I remember back in the early 2000s, my town was hit by 3 hurricanes all within a years time and everywhere you looked, everyone’s roofs were covered with bright blue tarps. Just remember not to dwell on the disaster, but on all the helpers and you had plenty of helpers. Jake just amazes me with his willingness to help anyone in need……the same way that you and Steph are always there for others. God bless the Denmans and praise God that no one was hurt and that your home is still standing.

Lester and Jami came over with chainsaw and tarps, but Lester realized it was to big a job for him. He might have caused more damage to the roof. So he called a pro and had the tree removed from the roof. Buddy used Lester's tarps to cover a lot of the damaged roof. LE and Megan provided two more tarps so Buddy could finish covering the rest of the damage. Glad the got a pro to take the trees the rest of the way down and cut them up. The pine tree falling across the pecan tree broke its fall. The damage could have been much worse. I am thankful for that. I hate that the tree hit the house.

I miss the days when neighbors and friends always helped. When I was about 15, our main pipe out side burst, but my dad had to go to work so he just turned the water off, until he got home, Well by the time he got home, all the work was done. One friend was a plumber, one was construction and so on, they dug up the yard and replaced everything, so my dad had a bbq for everyone (along with cold beer) about 20 people there and everyone kept saying “that’s what friends are for, you help each other” Edit- no my parents had no idea, they were at work and it was 1975, no social media and you only called your parents at work if it was an emergency 😂
