Awesome video! Personally, my friends enjoyed speed duels as their intro into the game. Fast paced yet still low powered enough with plenty of interaction. Constructed Speed duel decks are cheap as well. Alternate formats (such as goat) are a good start but I find it too slow for most people. I met a guy at locals who said they got into the game solely because of Edison format. Overall, I totally agree with your points and loved the video.
