Why are you guys continuing to promote the idea that you can use this to play splitscreen games with players all over the globe, and then I see your developers saying it was never intended for this and input lag is going to be over 100ms?

Because the upcoming update to our feature "Remote Desktop" has ultra-low-latency screens with sub-20ms (10ms) of lag and IS intended for gaming. Those are old comments from 1-2 years ago. This is a tutorial we display for PC VR and Quest users, so some features aren't always the exact same on mobile. But with our upcoming updates, the goal is to make everyone regardless of their headset (Quest, Rift, Vive, etc.) as capable and powerful with the same featuresets for everyone. Just give it more time in order for these updates to launch!

So when you start watching something in Big Screen and decide you would rather watch something else instead, how do you go back to the menu? The only way I can figure it is you have to exit and restart it. That can't be right?

It doesn’t work for me. I use oculus quest and a windows laptop i go to steam and launch from remote desktop. It force quits and then i try launching the game normally no Remote Desktop or vr and it says “Requirements not met” Please help I wanna finish the final episode of cobra kai “IN STYLE!”

hello, computer mode in WorkRoom or Bigscreen does not work WorkRoom does not recognize, does not display a message and Bigscreen crashes when launching computer mode I think my pc may be too old, indeed I currently have an old Asus I7 Grforfce GT 450 m -1g which runs perfectly well for PRO especially since Team Viewer works perfectly. in french ...hello, le mode ordinateur dans WorkRoom ou Bigscreen ne fonctionne pas WorkRoom ne reconnais, pas n'affiche pas de message et Bigscreen plante au lancement du mode ordinateur j'imagine que mon pc est peut être trop vieux, en effet Jai actuellement un vielle Asus I7 Grforfce GT 450 m -1g qui tourne parfaitement bien pour du PRO mais Team Viewer fonctionne parfaitement

If I move from a seated position (facing East), then to a reclined position (facing North), how do I recenter the screen so I can see it? It stays stuck in the East. I can move the menu but not the screen. Edit: Just restart Q2 and Bigscreen and it'll re-orient the screen.

Just hold the quest button on the right controller and it recenters your view

Its so stupid that you can't just invite people on your friend's list ..instead of the stupid code that you then have to send in messenger so annoying ..also can you help by showing the hole prosses as from the start if I use remote desktop to open my VR and then host a room it all works great but I can't hear anyone in the room and they can't hear me ..it all works fine if I just open the oculus big screen and the stream my desktop but then I can only have a max of 4 people and also have to control the content from my laptop ..I had tried all the different audio drivers changing them no matter what when using remote desktop no one can hear me .. I have been told that I need to use the cable and not over wifi ..so will give this a try next time

Hello there , I have a problem. So when I do desktop mode so I can watch my pc on my big screen it work but when I play a movie on netflix, google play etc.. the screen turns black while the movie still plays good in the pc. Does anyone know why this problem is?

You may want to try a different browser like FireFox for this. It's mostly related to the browser's DRM.

this is absolutely not a good idea. if you want a free alternative to VD, look up ALVR. it’s not quite as good but it’s still very usable from what i’ve heard

After I posted this comment, I then read a comment saying it didn't work since Oculus quit supporting the Go. I'll have to hook my Go back up (haven't used it since getting the Quest) and see if that's true. I'll let you know.

Virtual Desktop is another option, I'm learning how to use it myself, the screen doesn't follow your eyes but you can grab it and put it wherever you want (ceiling, floor, whatever) and you can resize the screen, make it curve, it's pretty great IMO

It should automatically connect to your computer screen, you can use your mouse and keyboard while in vr so you can control the screen
