Ever see the rant video of the guy that has problems with KZbin teachers and how they never start at the beginning? You went from showing the front panel which was fine. Till you clicked on the back and it was full of devices that you never explained the origins of . Just poof loaded window. So what does the newbie ask? “How did it all get there and what is the thinking…” Question… how much is ….. times 18? Right!

Hey Brett, nice overview. Thanks for putting this together. Super helpful!

Great video my friend, Quick tip, your pop filter is WAY too close to the microphone, that is why it's not really making a difference, lots of implosives, hiss and pops brother, you need to pull it back about 3 to 5 inches for it to fulfil it's correct function, prefferably, again thank you so much, I needed this.

Interesting. I've been using Cantabile for a couple years now (Forte before that) on PC, but just grabbed GP from PA for $49.99. No time to demo it first or I may lose the voucher :) I tried it a couple years back. I liked it, but back then it crashed frequently and was also missing some of the hardware abstraction features that Cantabile and Forte had. After using live hosts for performance for over 10 years, I did realize though that even though these live hosts are convenient to manage all settings, it's sometimes still easier to try to get the patches right at the source when possible. I.e. save volume, transpose, key ranges etc in the patch for the vst when it allows for that. That makes it much easier to re-use patches when you need create a different setup for the same/similar songs (i.e. when changing one of the vsts for something new, moving to a different Software etc.).

Seems overly convoluted to me. I use a DAW (old version of Acoustica Mixcraft) with the different VSTs I use line up in the channel section. Easily add FX to indivdual VSTs on their channel, or the Master Buss. Leave the Hammond VST screen open over the empty space in the DAW so I can see the controls, which are mapped to my MIDI keyboard. My setup seems a lot less hassle than this!

Thanks Tom Hardy! I think this is the software I'm looking for. I would try Mainstage but I don't have a MacBook 😅

How to assign volume for 4 different VSTs to sliders or knobs on a controller (I have Numa Compact 2x)? I can't see using a trackpad or even a mouse to quickly change between instruments on a gig. With knobs on the keyboard, that would be easy, and since I'd be sing VSTs instead of the native keyboard sounds, the knobs / sliders would be available. I's just turn one VST instrument's volume down and another one's up. Thanks. Great video...

Hi and thanks for your videos on Gig Performer. I am wondering if there is a software package that brings the features of an Arranger Keyboard to a midi controller? These features would include voices, rhythms, the ability to save presets (registrations), and a recording capability. Thanks.

OK - fair warning - I'm pretty basic. When I put a VST into Gig performer, It's set on whatever patch I choose. Is it possible to make buttons to select different patches or does that require additional instances of the VST? Hope that makes sense. :) Cliff [edit: do you know if the Omnisphere (can't remember what to call it) feature where I can use the lowest keyboard keys to change between six (or is it eight?) patches works in GP?

Any chance of GP for iPad?

you missed the most important step. How, when you open a brand new rack space, do you connect all of the blocks together.

Nice 👍🏽 video thanks . I wanted to use GP 4 to open luna instruments but I want to trigger them using Logic Pro you think that’s posible with DG4 ?

Thanks but this is not an intro for a new person considering computer keyboard. Too many acronyms, too much assumed knowledge. But try again. I’d love to see a top level intro video.

This would be a good video, but those sound effects are high annoying, and not required.
