Thank you for the demonstration. It was very clear and easy to follow.

At our little high school, I just inherited, never used, a Tricaster Mini 4H. My photography class is assigned to cast the football games. You explained it well. I'll try hooking it up next week.

Awesome. I'm using mine to shoot 3 camera TV shows. It's still solid after many years of use.

you should always import media, never drop files regardless. Newtek clearly states that it could cause a lock up on the codec

Great and basic intro, I only wanted to know how to get videos on but I also learn't how to get titles on too. Very straight forward and clear thanks!

Do you know if the Tricaster mini has an issue with .mov as my videos don't seem to play automatically or by clicking on the play button?

What codec? Best all around to do. Mp4 with high bitrate

Great tutorial, straight to the point. Would really love to know how to live stream our church service to both KZbin and Facebook at the same time. Also, we will be grateful if you could also tell us how to update the browser within Tricaster as we keep been told that the browser is out of date. We own the HD4 (mini). Many thanks!
@ChurchMediaCreators6 жыл бұрын
you can't really update the browser in TC. You can install another browser in windows tho. I'd recommend contacting Newtek to get their input. :) For simulcasting, Justin and I use Restream. It lets us syndicate to multiple platforms at once - the KZbin version, we post on our /live page ;) Here's our aff link: churchtrainingacademy.com/restream

Great tutorial. In your opinion, if you didn't have the control unit (keyboard thingy) would a touch-screen monitor be super beneficial?
@ChurchMediaCreators7 жыл бұрын
I've never tried a touch monitor on in. Can't really say. I can find out though if Newtek has built touch into the UI. They keyboard and mouse tho are totally doable. The console makes things easier, but in reality, I go back and forth between all 3.

Hey guys, it's Mike again I am also in need of a keyboard or controller who controls the mini my church is doing a broadcast and would like to broadcast on several different social media platforms. Please help thanks. Mike

That bigger model ONLY HAS 8 INPUTS??!... and at that high price?!?!?! Wow. Yikes!! And no matter how good the Mini is, I wouldn’t walk across the street for a 4-input switcher. But your content and tutorial was very good.

M J so what do you use? Just curious

Is it possible to send 2 different inputs 2 two separate outputs? For example have a camera feed on program 1(side screens) and a feed from an Apple TV on a Output 2(a center screen? The context would be a large church Sanctuary.
@ChurchMediaCreators7 жыл бұрын
I'm so sorry I didn't get this earlier. I never got a notification. Please forgive me. So, am I correct that one of your inputs is an apple TV unit? And you'd like to be able to use it as a source for the broadcast, but also, send it by itself to the lobby... ?? I think what you'll find easier is to split the HDMI coming out of the apple TV and then send one to the TC's inputs, and the other to your video distribution hub. That's a cleaner path. :)

Great video: 2 questions if possible. With the Canon 60D - how did you remove the focus cube in the middle? How is the LiveStream different from the Tricaster Mini? Thanks, Tom
@ChurchMediaCreators7 жыл бұрын
Hi Tom! On the 60D - you're looking to turn off the display or overlays for the output. This is called "Clean HDMI Out". I believe most if not all of the Canon DSLRs have this. I know my 5D MkIII does as did the MkII, 7D and most of the other's I've played with. How is it different from the LiveStream.... well they're basically the same type of machines from different companies. With that understanding, each has strengths. One thing that's nice about the LiveStream units is that they work with the MEVO cameras as well as phones and tablets as sources. You can also remotely control them. So with a LiveStream box in your studio, I can log in and switch for you :) I'll actually be at NAB with LiveStream doing --- live streams. I've been a Newtek guy for 20+ years, so having some serious concentrated time with the LS boxes is going to be nice :) Here's a couple of resources for you if you're looking to get started: ctlab.club/LiveStreamGearGuide2017 ctlab.club/StreamGuide

Hi @@ChurchMediaCreators whats wrong with these links
@RupestreFilms7 жыл бұрын
Hi there, I read in bhphoto that the signal needs to be encode in order to be able to livestream, is that true? It can't do it straight from the box?
@ChurchMediaCreators6 жыл бұрын
Rupestre Films h. 264 encoding. Streamed to your host. Easy peasy
@RupestreFilms6 жыл бұрын
And would you recommend the one with the screen on it? Because is 2000 more in comparison with the one without it. And since there's the monitor option it makes it look like is no need for that screen.
@ChurchMediaCreators6 жыл бұрын
Rupestre Films the screen is nice, but not necessary. A single 1080 monitor will work nicely. If you are wanting to buy, let me know, I'll put you in contact with the only person I deal with.
