I guess the community edition does not allow to add connection type that is orchestrator settings using machine key.

Once again, thank you for this video. Do you know of a way to automate the deployment pipeline from Studio to Orchestrator to Assistant? Currently, I publish from Studio to Orchestrator then in Orchestrator I have to run the upgrade to the latest version then need to go to the target assistant and install the upgrade. Especially for attended bots running on a user's laptop, this can be annoying. My intent is to just push updated bots to the intended user's Assistant. Thanks again for sharing.

If you're using standard folders, you can enable the Auto Download Process option on the robot. Click the folder on the left first, then the Robots tab at the top, then the three dots on the far right for the correct robot, and then select Edit. On the popup, select the Settings tab, and then find the correct option at the bottom. If you're using Modern Folders, go to the Tenant level in Orchestrator, select Users, edit the correct user, and find the option in Step 4, "Robot Settings". Should do the trick :-)

@@UiPathwithJeppe One other thing I learned from @Andrei Barbu on part 4/4 of his CI/CD video kzbin.info/www/bejne/iYnVdICQbtSXf7c (at around 16:10) is the if you are already logged a remote desktop session where the UIPath Assistant is that the Orchestrator will use to run a job and you don't want the remote desktop session to terminate and want to watch the job run. In Orchestrator, go to the tenant, and in the Robots tab, click on the 3 dots menu on the far right and select Edit. In the pop-up dialog, click on the Settings tab and for Login To Console turn the slide switch on and select the No radio button. When job is run from Orchestrator the already logged in remote desktop session will not terminate and UIPath Assistant will run the job. I was wondering about how to keep the remote session active so I could watch the job run when I need to debug an unattended job that has problems.

That's actually pretty sweet, thanks!

what is the difference between uipath assistant and uipath robot.
@UiPathwithJeppe3 жыл бұрын
Well.... technically, the UiPath Robot is a service that runs the actual automations. Assistant is a client application, typically for Desktop users, from which you can start or trigger Attended automations. Hope that makes sense. (...and sorry for the very late reply.) :-)
