I have not seen this video yet, but the previous ones are simple brilliant. You are an amazing teacher, your videos with the slides are very informative and helps to understand machine learning step by step. Thank you very much.

I'm so lucky to find this machine learning series! Before I tried some other public letures, but this one really helps me having a general understanding of ML and let me have a direction of the learning.

Can you explain what is happening in the following situation? I have an attribute with many potential values that I attempt to convert to binary and instead of making as many binary variables as the attribute had potential values it makes just one with a different naming convention. For example instead of DayOfWeek=Sunday ... DayOfWeek=Saturday I end up with DayOfWeek_binarized. Not the best example since I have more than 7 possibilities, but you get the idea.

Finally! Yes..been waiting for the 10th episode! Thanx..BTW..are you going to cover SVM sometime in the near future? I use model selection instead of cross validation cz I get the deprecation message every time I use cross validation.

I think this is not for beginners coz by using this so easy library it will make you dumb Atleast we have to know the code for precision, recall, and how to use confusion matrix. Then we can go for wekka.
@WannabePianistSurya6 жыл бұрын
Using an easy library will make you dumb?? Maybe you are just lazy to ignore what's happening on the inside and are okay with not knowing how stuff works. BTW Weka is accessible to people who don't know programming but know statistics. Most Data Scientists who work on small datasets don't even use programming and use tools like Excel. And I do agree that for people who are into programming/machine learning to only use Weka to explore data and play around with it. But your point was... "stupid".
@RandomGuy-hi2jm6 жыл бұрын
Surya Kant No buddy my point is strong. by only using wekka you cannot learn how to make your own decision tree or know how it works. Yehh its right that wekka makes things simpler but you first have to learn the programming part( or little basic is a must) then go for the easy stuf(gui)

If you stare at the screen for the longer part of your day, darker themes are very nice on your eyes :P

Rick Caldwell REALLY ?, (not being critical, just wondering) why do like them ? everyone i know uses dark.
@michaflak13706 жыл бұрын
Me, I noticed that it's easier on the eyes to read dark text on a light background, and lower the brightness of the screen instead. Plus, I'm not being blinded when I google something during work.
@razinik5 жыл бұрын
@@AntonyMBenedict Not necessarily true - www.maketecheasier.com/are-dark-themes-better-for-eyes-battery/ In sum, in high-light conditions dark modes can put more strain on your eyes. Dark-on-light is also better for readability. Dark Modes are better in low-light conditions (night-time or dimmer workspaces). If your goal is actually to reduce eye-strain, your best bet is to use a light filter such as f.lux that will warm the colors as your environment dims (heavier filter in the evening), and probably to keep dark-on-light text.
