Thank you for the detailed explanation on how to attach the binder. I used the Bernina instruction manual and I had creases and waves. First time after adjusting to your method and the binding was perfect. 🥰

This was very useful! I especially liked your explanation if how to fit it to my machine. I love the way Bernina dealers help each others clients. We are full-time RVers, so we get to meet lots of you across the country! See you when we see you!.

Thank you for the video! I'm convinced - it's worth the investment! Does it work with any thickness? Many of the quilts I make are backed with a fleece or minky.

You're welcome, Randi! Yes, the binder is an awesome accessory. There is a limit to the thickness that you can bind but I think you'll be fine with quilting cotton on one side and fleece or minky on the back. The fleece and minky are stretchy so it would be a good idea to stabilize and compress the edges with a zig zag stitch before running though the binder. Enjoy!

Excellent video! I just received my attachment today and it doesn't fit! I have a Bernina 570 Qe and I followed your instructions but my whole stitch plate and base move with every stitch.... Is the arm that swings out (that you feed the binding through) supposed to be loose or tight? Thank you!
@threadplaywithbernina44243 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Jamie! BERNINA makes only one size binder so it's definitely made to fit your 570 QE. The base plate will not move when screwed to the bed of your machine. The arm never locks in place but has enough resistance to avoid moving with every stitch when the binder is properly adjusted. You can see how stable the arm of the binder is at 10:15 and again at 11:50 in the video. Could it be that the curled portion of your binder is still getting caught on or under the toe of your presser foot as seen at about 3:10 in the video? I suggest that you go through the video again to be sure that your binder is properly fitted to your machine. You can consult with your dealer if you're still having problems after that. I've sold 100's of binders and never found a faulty one but there's still a slim possibility that yours has a defect.
