Where does the special head come from that is on top of the garden hose. Is that a female end or a male end?

Hi Jennifer, the HOTTAP has a male fitting, it's already installed into the HOTTAP. We've used a standard garden hose that has a 1/2" female quick-connect fitting. 🙂

So it doesn't have water pressure on it's own?

Hi! The HOTTAP needs to be connected to a water source for it to work. Either mains, or a 12V 6LPM and 6PSI pump.
