I have a BRAND NEW HRG 416 SK and it is misfiring and cutting out every time i accelerate to its fullest. I am having to hold the accelerator with my thumb half way to keep the engine running... HELP!

Excellent video... I particularly liked the fill with approximately 0.55L.as opposed to precisely at 0.551 😂 Are new Honda mowers supplied with the correct oil when purchased or is this something you have supplied yourselves? Thanks

Thank you for your comment. The mowers are not supplied from Honda to us with oil but we will always supply oil with a petrol mower when we sell a mower to an end user.

I bought one of these mowers recently, and I hate this thing with a passion. The handle is not adjustable, so I have to stoop to push the mower, and I get serious back ache very quickly. Is there any way to extend the handle to a comfortable height? Perhaps with an accessory pack, or something from a third party? I thought about using a handlebar extension kit made for cyclists, but that won't extend the bar which you need to hold to keep the engine running.

No - there is no handle extension kit. We would hope that, if you returned to your supplying dealer, they would endeavour to help source a more suitable mower for you.

Is there a massive difference between a self propelled mower and a push one? Not sure if need to spend the extra..

The choice between a push mower and a self propelled mower is really a personal one and boils down to whether you are happy to push your mower around the garden or would rather have it drive itself. Push mowers have the advantage of being wholly operator controlled so you can walk as slow or as fast (within reason) as you like. On the other hand, a self propelled mower is less effort because you don’t have to push it but the forward walking pace is fixed on most Izys. So, if the forward walking pace of a self propelled Izy (which is a steady walk) is too fast or too slow you are stuck with it on most models. Think about whether you have any inclines to negotiate. A self propelled mower will be easier going uphill. Also think about how much manoeuvring of the mower you might have to do. When you need to push and pull the mower in tight corners, you will find that a self propelled mower is a little harder to push and pull than a push mower. All things considered, there is no right or wrong answer - it really is personal preference. We hope this helps but feel free to give us a ring if you need further help.

on lighter mowers maybe it is not needed, but with heavier decks and when you are a pro cutting lots of lawns it is worth having a drive of some sort. Top end mowers are shaft driven and have vari speed to suit any condition even wet grass mowing.
