Visits are a trip down memory lane. This was a very good video. Editing displayed all work in a timely manner. Actually it seemed like the video ended far too soon. Ya done good, Pete.

Enjoy every minute with your Dad. Every day is the same till is't not. Our life is like a piece of equipment. It works just fine till it stops. The longer we live with our parents the less we think about them not being there. My Dad is gone 20 years. I'm now the Dad. My son is your age. The first few years after he was gone, unbeknown to us, we were speed dialing him to talk about an interesting job we were at. Our first call is always to each other. We both have something special. Never stop appreciating it.

HI It is great to see how the new build is coming, and how things have to go on with the rest of the farm at the same time. Your comments about the Farmall H being your favorite hit home. Starting in 5th grade I worked on my great grandfather and great uncles' farm in the summers. That is where I learned to drive the tractors and other farm equipment. I was taught on their 1950 Farmall H tractor. It also had the old trip bucket system. It was the only new tractor they ever bought. It was always my favorite to drive also. Thanks I really enjoy watching Greg

You were busy today. Looks great when old junk is gone. Always a good feeling. Your barn addition will be very nice. The idea of feeding cattle without going out in the weather is genius. My greatgrandfather, 9th of 16 children, the first to be born in US (from England), had two barns for his cattle and sheep for South Dakota winters. I heard, he would place chickens in the hay lofts above the aminals, the chickens kept the animals under control. As an 8 year old I did not ask the question, I knew what happens if the chicken became upset and I assumed the cattle and sheep where as smart as I.

There are tricks to trapping. Live traps you want to place them solid, so no movement whatsoever. Cover everything completely, no access to anything except through the front door. Make it a cave. And set a hair trigger. Racoons are smart and very aware, very difficult if not impossible to catch in a trap if he's been stung already. A 22 and a flashlight work pretty good though

Perhaps a chicken alarm at the chicken homestead would be beneficial. That's what my mother did to alert her at night when any egg sucking dogs were about or coons etc; It worked, and what was learned was that there's predator's about nearly every night. Mom then had a focused flood light come on when the hens became... Mom swears that the chickens were laying more eggs due to her predator alert alarm. Dad agreed with a smile, always saying well we certainly have more live chickens, more hens, more eggs!

I’ve cleaned more stalls than I care to think about. If you put a bigger door on the west side. You could open it and drive your bucket loader all the way down the north wall and clean it out. Yip. No hand shoveling. I saw this big beams. I bet they were close to a hundred bucks each. I bought an 18 footer a couple years ago and it was 130 dollars during that damn pandemic. I enjoyed watching that old Farmall. Sure brought back some good memories. Later

I really like this idea! I think its nice that all the cattle will be together. Now imagine one of those Gehl skid steer's in the barn for feeding during the winter! that would be slick! I just cant see you ever owning a skid steer. Also pretty impressed with the determination of that skid steer guy, so many other machines just a few feet away that could of made quick work of that beam and yet he kept at it! I feel like I would of walked over and asked to use the mini ex for a few minutes
